M1 carbine front sight?

I know this is a shot in the dark but I'm serious about finding something that will do.
I'm looking for an M1 carbine style of front sight to use on my D36. That is a patridge front blade with protective ears. I like peep sights but I don't like globe sights very much- no good in low light conditions. So, I'm wondering if anyone knows of something that can be used. The barrel is 16mm dia at the muzzle. I found one sight that will fit 14.7mm; so that won't work.

Been looking around more and doing some homework. It looks like the Universal M1 carbine front sight is installed with a set screw rather than the key and pin like the earlier M1 carbines. That's what I'd really like to find. However, those seem to be harder to find than the more common key and pin design. Any ideas on where I can find one of those Universal type front sights? I was thinking of putting one of these on my D36 but I'm actually more inclined to put it on my Marksman0035. The current front sight is loose and rotates on the barrel.
