No new posts since Feb 26th, just checking in due to the coronavirus thing, is everything still on track for May? If anything has been posted about this I've missed it, otherwise still planning to attend, if not I need to cancel my hotel reservation so I won't get billed for it.

Sorry for not posting.... as of right now the plan is still a go. Of course if this virus thing continues to grow and more restrictions are put on social gatherings, we have to make a new plan. I'm just taking it day by day right now.

Just a little off topic SWMBO and I were planning a few days in the mountains from 3/29 to 4/3 but the place we were going to stay has closed due to the Covid-19 virus

Now we will have a whole week to paint and do yard work. Oh joy !!!!

Myself am just going to see how this virus situation plays out over the next month or so. Unfortunately I am one of the high risk geezer individuals with having heart issues, lung issues and diabetes so got to be vigilante in staying clear of any chances of being in contact with contagious individuals.

Time will tell.

Not to worry, way back in 1981, Dean Koontz predicted this would happen and it would disappear as quickly as it appeared, so it should be long gone by the time of the Fun Shoot!

As I predicted, as soon as I committed to going my doctor would give me a surgery date. Yep, March 25. I might be ambulatory by mid May so I am back in the "we'll see" category.

Yep there have been more predictions of the world ending from climate change going back to the 60s and yet we are still here so all things do pass eventually including us.

We're still shooting in SC, every month for the past five years.....

This month we will be adding hand sanitizer and Clorox wipes right next to the remoil.....

Well spoke to Matt at the CMP today and they are officially closed completely until June 1st and possibly longer so they will not be attending our fun shoot in any capacity as it stands now. If we decide to postpone the fun shoot till after June 1st then I will revisit with Matt to see if they will attend.

He did say the upper management was open to attending till the covid-19 started.

I will contact the courthouse and see how much notice I need to give them to postpone. If it's, like, 30 days we have a month to see where this deal is going.
That is, if the courthouse is even open.... I understand the Governor has ordered them closed.

Was gonna post some pictures of a reactive spinner target that I'm making about 10 of to bring to the fun shoot but forgot the announcement gate won't let me load pictures, will put them in the Darkside, a moderator can move them from there if they chose.

Yea its a definite waiting game right now. I was wondering if your plant is closing down for 10 days starting Monday since the Honda plant here in Lincoln is and all of its local suppliers are as well. Lots of folks out of work and staying home.

Yes, they shut us down at the end of the night shift on Friday.
We supply Hyundai in Montgomery. They were shutdown on Wednesday after a team member tested positive for the virus.
As of now, we are shut down through March 31st. They will completely sanitize our plant and all will be screened (not tested) for symptoms before allowed back in the plant.
Thankfully, I am a salaried employee and my pay will continue. Many are not. We employ around 750 people at our plant.

I guess I'm lucky, my Home Depot in Nashville is still open. If they do begin to close stores in and around Nashville my understanding is that my store will be the last to close, it has always been their big money-making store. We could end up with people at my store that are from other stores if more people choose to stay home, we have had about 32-35 employees who have chosen to stay home at this point. Home Depot stepped up and has given all its full-time employees an additional 80 hours of sick pay. At 65 I hope I don't need to use it but may stay home voluntarily if the number of C19 cases continues to rise in Nashville.

I think they are also taking into consideration that folks need building supplies for repairs from the recent hurricane/tornado in and around Nashville.

Hardware/home repair stores are considered essential stores and are not subject to closure in Alabama at this point as of yet. Things may change.
