I keep looking at the HW100 carbine in walnut.

I’m looking at a HW100 carbine in 177 as my next Airgun. I would appreciate any opinions. I’m not a tinkerer I just want it to shoot out of the box accurately and reliably.

Never owned an HW100 but have held one...built solid, German Engineering over built tough! Have only heard good things about HW guns.

I just bought one in laminate . Talk about fine German craftsmanship. It operates smooth as silk , the machining is absolutely flawless, love how the magazine is inside the action for lower scope height, shot count is OK , not stellar at full power but it’s acceptable. I’ve tuned mine to shoot 10.3 jsb pellets at 800fps and gained a pile of shots. It’s my favorite rifle. Sure the design is a little outdated , has no exterior adjustments or fancy tricks. Load a magazine aim and shoot, hits the target every time. If you read my signature you can see I compare it to some pretty nice stuff , the HW is going to stay.

Good guns out of box. A 12 fpe carbine would be my choice. Barrels are not always superb but still rather accurate.

It is getting down to that ... having MANY fine AG's and only so many hours in a day, week, month, year to shoot them ... more guns you have harder it becomes to spread the love around !!
My primary AG sport is Field target where I have 4 very capable guns PCP & Spring, yet spend 90% of that time with just 1
same for hunting PCP guns ... 5-6 at hand and only really shoot 2

I have plans to get back to field target this coming year. I was very active in the mid Atlantic region from 88 thru 96. I’m also going to need another gun safe cause my current one is full😳
