Dreamline Barrel Question
«
on:
December 14, 2019, 11:35:36 AM »
I have a .22 Dream lite with standard 500mm barrel. I would like to convert it to a 600mm barrel. I would also like a .25 conversion.
My question is can you use .22 600mm liners and the.22 components in the .25 600mm shroud and barrel housing? It would be a big $ savings if you can. Thanks.

I would think so. The shroud is the same diameter on both the .22 and .25 barrels I have, so I don’t see why not. If you get the 600mm barrel kit, it comes with the shroud, barrel and probe. You should be able to use your .22 probe with a 600mm .22 slug liner.

don't quote me. But been doing alot of research on this gun as i'd like one in the future. From my understanding.
As long as you have a complete 600mm setup (liner, barrel, shroud, and bolt) you should be able to change out the liner and the bolt for any caliber.
if i read correctly you have a 500mm setup currently.
so you would need a complete 600mm barrel kit in .25 cal.
then you would need the 600mm liner and bolt for .22 cal.

Thanks all. Looking at the fx exploded view/parts list the barrel housing and the shroud are not caliber specific, but length specific. I have all the .22 parts (except 600mm barrel). I tend to think they will fit the .25 600mm barrel housing and shroud, but not positive. I was hoping someone knew for sure.

your last post was a bit confusing.
so you have a gun that IS 600mm in .25 cal.
and you have a full setup in 500mm for .22 cal.
if so then all you would need is a 600mm barrel liner for .22. You can re-use the probe from the 500mm setup in the 600mm liner
FX start like this from outside in:
1) barrel shroud
2) barrel housing
3) barrel liner <-- pellets or slugs go out this and is the interchangable parts
4) pellet probe
yes you are correct that barrel housing and shroud are not caliber specific, ONLY length specific

Sorry for the confusion. I didn't explain my situation very well but you answered my question. I can convert a .25 600mm barrel to a .22 600mm using my .22 parts + a 600mm .22 liner. Much Thanks. CTF
