I have a gen 1 mrod with the option 1 reg set at 100 bar/1500 psi with a 20 gram MDS hammer in it and its shooting JSB/AA 10.34s at 890 fps for 18.5 fpe. I can shoot a full 60 shot match with over 2000 psi left in the air tube, never have actually shot to see how many it get before coming off the reg. Its shooting with an extreme spread of 6 fps and average of 3 fps per shot to shot so very consistent. As lennyk stated if you keep the gauge block in place then either option the gauge reads reg pressure. Leaving out the gauge block will add plenum volume but in all honesty the added volume/shot count will not ever be needed for a FT match. I like the gauge reading reg pressure so I can at least know when I am getting close to needing to refill the gun before it actually comes off the reg.You will be happy with either way you go that's for sure.BD
When installing the Huma would it be possible to relocate the pressure gauge so that it reads fill pressure? In my ignorance the gauge would need to go before the regulator as opposed to between the reg & the valve. My thought would be to add a Tee fitting at the fill head to handle the gauge & the 1 way foster fitting. Will this work?

The only place for a regulators mechanics while providing a plenum space is UPSTREAM of the gauge.

(Sound like BS; it's not)Let's shift to a different gun, pleaseThe MaximusIt is possible to bypass the Maximus gauge using an Magnum Air Power gauge bypass. In this case would the Tee idea at the fill cap be valid?Ed

I modded my Maxi for a while and wound up going with Disco TP, (barrel and valve drilled to match) OEM hammer spring. I am getting 755 fps/22.8 fpe for about thirty shots.
If you are interested in tube pressure Huma offers a part that replaces the factory fill assembly and it has a gauge.
Squirrel, I forgot to mention. JSB 18.1 gr.
Sorry bout that, I don't know how to add a link. They are the Huma website and I think Jeff at Treniers has them in stock.
