Rainstorrn II conversion to left hand cocking

Being left master eyed, Cocking across the chest was really taking a toll on my old Author infected wrist. Some nights it ached badly. Seem all the effort cocking the gun when shouldered on the left shoulder is in the wrist. Ouch!
I've milled the idea around in my mind for quite a while now. I was really worried that it would cause damage to the gun.
Well, I spent most of the night last night doing the milling required to do the job. Boy, it took a real leap of faith to do it. Scared? Yep, you bet. LOL
Well, it came out great. In fact, better than great. I should have taken pics before the final file fitting, as the milling cuts were kinda purty to look at.
Now it is wearing black Alu. coating to hide the work and looks pretty much factory. Next is to make a cover plate for the slot on the right side o the action that is left unused. That and I want to machine a support block for the rear of the actin to be able to take the high spring loads I am using in the gun as it is being used as strictly a bullet shooter.
barrels so far are .257, .250. .223 slow twist, .223 fast twist, and a .172 is waiting in the wings for installation. Just gotta save for the mold. GRRR!!!
Cocking is now ultra sweet after the difficulties cocking cross chest. Being able to brace the butt stock against the shoulder and pulling back with both arm muscle and should muscle groups is virtually effortless.
How does it look? Well, pretty much like a reverse image of how it looked before starting. LOL!
Many test to come.
Ran out of bullets today. So out to the shop for a casting session.

Mike, so glad you got that lever moved! Dealing with a strong hammer spring over many projectile tests with “arthur” is quite daunting! Bet it looks OEM too 🤓👍.

Very nice! They should do it like that at the factory.
