Has anyone done any mods to reduce pumping effort? I don't care about power in these pistols, and I think I will have better results getting my wife or young nephews to shoot with me if it was easier to pump. Instead of building the piston up, you can grind a dish into the center of it to reduce cocking effort and fps. If you go too far, you can fill it back in as much as needed with epoxy.

Received the two I ordered today. Just in time! Never had one before. They are more "substantial" than I was expecting.
Mine supposedly shipped Friday. USPS has not received the package yet, according to their tracking.

We had family coming in, and I didn't have time to check accuracy. I'll try to test it soon though. I should say that I do have a little trouble with these sights. I think it would work better for me if I square off the front sight. Another project when I get a few minutes.
Earl, is that daisy holding up for you? I had thought a red dot would be nice fit for this pistol. Alternatively to that, I had thought of doing the baking powder/CA glue square sight that BB had on his blog a while back. https://www.pyramydair.com/blog/2019/11/fixing-fiberoptic-sights/

I have one that is probably 30 years old.I have other cheap red dots but I like the Daisy best.I have a Crosman pistol that had fiber optic sights.I removed the fiber optic rods and put round wood tooth picks in their place and squared them off with a dremal tool, then I used a flat black magic marker to black the entire sight. Using a flat black magic marker to blacken sights is an old target shooters trick. The color is "flat black" not "high gloss".
I googled "Beeman P17 Pistol $7.50 on Amazon" and found responses on AGN, reddit and tractorbynet- it seem that GTA isn't the only group to respond to a great deal
