I have mine hot rodded with the macarri artic springs and one is shooting 8.44s at 650 fpe for right under 8fpe. I have shot field target with it and can actually drop targets at 55 yards with it. It a 5 mildot hold over to get out that far but it is very capable and accurate. The other I tried an o-ring in place of the steel ring and its only 5 fps slower than the steel ring one but much more consistent in ES of only 3 fps spread. Cant say its worth the effort to install o -ring without cutting it on cocking rod slot for no real gain in fpe. Just wanted to see if it was feasible to even do just for grins and giggles.Great guns indeed.BD

While I've shot the heavier pellets in mine, the lighter ones (7.3 JSB RS pellet, for example) seems to group best in my rifle. Yes, these low power rifles can reach out there. I finished the national FT competition in 2014 with a Haenel 303 Super - knocked the 50 meter squirrel right over - couldn't believe the shot! I may just take the FWB 300S out next year just for grins and try FT with it as well. Running FWB breech seal and piston bumper and Jim Maccari Arctic spring in mine.

Almost an unheard of brand here in US. I understand that they made some outstanding target rifles.-Y
My FWB 300S loves the RWS Diabolo Basic in the green cans, which give me 5.3fpe. At ten yards, it's consistent enough to wonder why I'd bother with an expensive pellet. It is a real treat to shoot with the peep sight and make tiny groups on paper, or hit reactive targets.
