FWB 300s pellet preference in .177

I have tried all .177 that I have. Too many to list. Tell me what yours like, if I have then I'll know mine doesn't. Trying not to go broke

The FWB I've got has a really tight breech where all pellets fit SNUG.  No loose pellets ever even the CPDs and PIRANHAS work all the time.  These are on the heavy side and the rifle sounds like a tuned vortex when fired.

Everyone has to modify their HWs to do something not quite what comes out of the box but the FWB needs no tuning by any garage mechanic.

Last test I ran in one of mine, 5 shot groups at 10m.  If I shoot 35-50 yds, AA Falcons, or JSB 7.3 RS.  Been the same in all my FWB.

Depends what I'm doing with them. For 10 yard benchrest it shoots 4.50mm head sizeJSB Match Diabolo S100 Heavy Weight, 8.26gr best, it shoots their middle weight 8.02 gr well too. For 25 yard stuff it shoots 4.52mm head size AA Diabolo 7.87gr very well.

While I have not tried it, I bet my 300s would put a BB in the bull.

It doesn't matter what the FWB Sport gets fed as I said no preferences just speed differences in pellet weight.  You'd think a Match Pistol HN pellet (really lite) would shoot radically different than a Crossman Premier PIRANHA or Dome (HEAVY at 10.5 grains) but the rifle is absolutely a joy in the .177--not like the HWs I have in .177 and definitely more consistent.

What I'm saying is my FWB has no pellet preference in accuracy but I can tell by the release the heavier ones 'feel' better on the action.  The action works on the heavies the smoothest.  The bore at the breech is really tight compared to HW breech chambers--I think that has something to do with it.  And isn't the FWB Sport Choked?

AA 8.44gr in 4.52 head size and H&N sniper mediums 8.5gr also 4.52. JSB 8.44gr in 4.52s are good as well but the consistency is not uniform at all in terms of head size so have not bought them in years. Loyal to AA pellets in all calibers they come in..

Had several and rebuilt many. Never had a pellet picky one. Yes all guns and owners have a favorite pellet. If you have a 300/300s that is picky I would suggest checking the crown and or clean the barrel.
These old guns have great barrels and even the old club guns still are shooters after cleaning and rebuilding. In those days most all the true 10m guns had killer barrel.
I have even chopped some and no accuracy suffering. I shoot the JSB 7.87 WITH NO ACCURACY issues even past the 10m zone. These guns with 6 fpe are unbelievable in just what they can do. JMO
