Air Arms Diablo Field 16 grain pellets-Has anyone weighed them?

I was wondering if anyone has done some weight testing on the AA 16 grains. Are they actually 16 g or are they closer to 15.89"s and being called 16?

Also  how consistent a weight did you get, or are they vastly different pellet to pellet and need sorting? Thanks

While I haven't tested those exact pellets for Hard Air Magazine, I will state that I have never tested a pellet that exactly hits the advertised weight, and they ALL have a range of weights.The range is wider on some types of pellets than others. Head sizes and lengths are also variable. Here's an example:

Yes they did.
JSB/AA weighed them.

I have not bothered to weigh them but over the years they have been one of the best .22 pellets I’ve used.  Most rifles group them exceedingly well.  Here lately I’ve been using them  in the DAR and it is on a 24/24 run on small game and pests between 40-60 yards, the smallest targets being chipmunks and house sparrows.

Thanks. I had a chance to try a few in the Gamo Urban and they grouped better than the JSB 15.89 which was the previous best pellet for my Urban.

My experience has been very similar in the 16 and 18 gr size versus their JSB counterpart.

The only way to know for sure which pellet works best in your rifle is to test them.  In my .22 Air Ranger, the AAs outshoot the JSB Pellets, but in my LW barreled Marauder the JSBs do better.  Granted, the difference is small, but it is there.

My .25 Marauder also likes the AA better than the JSB King.  And they are a little less expensive, which is a great additional benefit!

I have weighted them all, and the variability is similar.
