I have the B-51(just the thumb hole version) an my friend Gary on here has the B-50 Dennis, both are in .22, with just a small amount of tinkering an some TLC they are amazing gun's, they are a bit loud but can be tamed if needed(TKO), I'm not sure but check with Mike(bestairgun) to make sure he still has any in stock? If not let us know an we will try an give you a hook-up with BigEd(he makes an sell's alot of good stuff for the BAM).

Hi
Is there anything odd?
Fill fittings, instructions.
You said the muzzle need re-crowning, anything else?
WHat pellets, JSBs. A lot say they like these for PCPs.

Nothing "odd" for filling, same as Mrod,Disco an many other's just a #12 Foster SS female, John(spysir) helped point me toward's BigEd for a new valve stem, an other than that(part) I reworked the trigger, crowned, depinged an polished the bore,Oh an polished the brass work up LOL, along with a few home mod's that help in getting it "tuned" in, if you do get one just let us know an we will e-mail ya "The Book" on this gun, lot's of good info, with the exploded diagram John already put up(has every O-ring you need listed) you got everything you need to rework this into a fine shooter. An mine like's any decent pellet, not fussy at all.

On it's way Dennis, enjoy.
P.S. Thank John for all this info, he was kind enough to share it with me when I got mine, the guide for o-ring's is worth it's weight in gold alone(just don't know what a pdf weigh's?).

I have the B-50 in .22 cal. It is not pellet picky at all. Mine has had a few minor hickups but nothing serious as I like to tinker as well as shoot.
I'll bet Jay has already sent you "The Book" and that covers the rifle a lot better than I ever could.
The bigest gripe that I have heard is that there is no air gage showing pressure still in the rifle. I don't have a problem with that because once the rifle is set up the way you want all that needs to be done is shoot a string at a number of targets til point of impact drops and then you will know how many shots between fills.

No problem John, you were nice enough to share with Gary an me, an like I said your exploded view with ALL the o-ring's listed alone has been a great help when going into this gun. I call mine "Old Number 1"(I never name gun's), but when I ordered from Mike it dawned on me it was placed on 1-1-11, shoot it almost daily an the only thing that has gone down so far was the ring on the fill pin a month ago, GREAT GUN's, an overlooked sadly like most BAM's till no more were coming into the country.

Nice gun indeed... everybody was buying into the Disco craze thinking that gun was a good deal, if they only knew.

A few comments (do think its a good gun).
They are heavy. Most of the weight comes from the fact that nearly all of it is made from thick steel (the air tube is exceptionally thick walled compared to todays PCPs and the breech is a very solid chunk of steel).
They usually come set up from the factory shooting pretty fast...are loud. htat little brake at the end of the barrel really doesn't do it for quiet...but there are add ons that will.
Trigger is adjustable, normally can work out a very nice trigger pull (but will have to test it to be sure its a safe pull).
Mine is very accurate, but I toned it down to the 28foot pound level (which is going fast enough for me). Previous owner (bought this one used) did a very nice job converting the issue stock.

Greetings. First post, glad to have found the site.
I bought a B50 in great condition. It shoots great, too.
The previous owner limited the psi to 1500. What is the reason for this? Even though I have had a rws 45 for years, most of my experience is with powder firearms.
Thanks,I am trying to complement the posters here without being flattering but it is difficult.

Welcome MNL to the GTA!!! I would say he might of changed the hammer spring to a lighter one for a low pressure easy fill target gun(lower FPS)? If not changed, I run mine from 2,800psi down to around 2,000 which keep's my average fps at 900 with 14.3gr pellet's, they are very hard shooter's an acc. gun's, alot of easy mod's also. Again glad you joined us!!!

Has anyone heard from him lately? I need some work done. I have a .22 and .177 and love them both!! I just shot 2 sets of one one holers yesterday at 55 yds with the .177 and regularly shoot tin cans at 75 yds with both. They are easy to work on and a dream to shoot. Many pine squirrels and starlings out to 50 yds to their credit. The thumb hole fits my hand better than the hunter stock. Let me know if you know if Ed is in town or in Fla or somewhere for awhile. I emailed him over a week ago and no response??? Bugshot
