Seems an old brass valve rear is the answer. I may have have one but I'm out of town til next week. Dave
Get some Vibra-Tite VC3. It goes on the fastener and you let it dry before assembly unlike Loctite. It becomes pliable and rubberlike to hold instead of a cement. It doesn't need to be reapplied every time and works GREAT!!
The stake in the bottom of the tube, which the back of the valve rests against, is supposed to take the load, not the front trigger screw.... Did they miss staking your tube, or not stake it properly, or has the back of the valve been shortened?.... I have used and abused lots of aluminum valves, and never seen any hint of a problem with the front trigger screw....Bob
Glad to help.... Bob
I pinned 2 of my 1377 valve like Wyoman did in this picture. Never seen valve back notched by the stopper before making it slide back.
