Anybody try this on your eBay hand pump?

I’ve got water on the fill nipple of my Gauntlet’s bottle every time I fill up. This pump has the little tampon dryer on the end of the hose. It’s the brass colored one, not the blue one. I was thinking about buying one of these slightly bigger ones. Anybody try it?

I don't think the color really matters, some are black, some blue and some gold! I have used the one pictured in your post with my compressor, but not a hand pump. I don't see why it would not work, just be aware that you have to fill the volume of the filter as well as your tank, so it will add to the amount of time spent pumping. This is the same as with a compressor. When I added one of the large gold filters to my compressor it increased the run time considerably since it's now filling the tank and the filter with air to the desired pressure. I recently obtained one of these:
It contains the small filter like the one in your current filter and a larger one that's not very long. This allows you to add desiccant between the 2 filters to capture a lot more of the moisture before it get into your tank. It can be used in conjunction with the filter you currently have making the current filter a pre-filter for even more water/oil separation. But again, be prepared for some additional pumping to completely fill the tank.

I used that one with a handpump when I got started in PCP last year.
I've transferred it over to the Nomad II that I acquired a couple months ago.
I put a cotton filter in each end and fill the middle with dessicant. It works well.

I believe it’s recommended to use a desiccant container on the intake side on the pump. That way no moisture ever enters the system.
