AirGun Guild Award
«
on:
October 17, 2019, 02:21:11 PM »
I would like to take this opportunity to humbly thank the AirGun Guild, and particularly Alan Applegate, for this award, and their generous donation of a LabRadar with all the accessories.... The beautiful plaque, and this treasured gift, all arrived in good condition.... The plaque will be given a place of honour above my desk, where I will see it every day....
I have been saving towards the purchase of a LabRadar when I retire in 2021.... My plan is to test as many pellets and bullets as I can, to get accurate Ballistics Coefficients at typical airgun velocities.... and then to share that information with all my online friends.... Alan and Steve have now made this possible, and I can't wait until we retire, close the Motel, and I have the time to devote to this exciting project....

I love your posts Bob. I found one where you gave a bit of an autobiography as I was curious to see if you were a mechanical engineer by degree. Certainly anyone graduating early with a chemistry degree would have succeeded in a ME curriculum also. Your grasp of the engineering principles is impressive. Your ability to articulate these principles in a way that people can easily digest far exceeds the capabilities of most MEs. The accolades are well deserved. Thank you for the education.

Congratulations Bob!
What a nice recognition and such a wonderful gift and tool. This could not have been awarded to a better recipient. This is a gift to convey gratitude and will, at the same time give back to the community many times over. Simply because of the work that you do.
Well deserved and I'm truly happy for you.

The airgun community and myself included has gained so much insight due to your work and posts. I'm very excited to see what you write up regarding the new discoveries you will be making with that equipment.
Thank you,

I've been impressed (and often confused) by Bob's knowledge of Airguns on a regular basis.
The near thing about him is his willingness to share and help us all learn.
The even neater thing is that, even in recognizing him for his efforts and gifting him the Labradar, he's going to turn around and share all the BCs he collects. And it'll probably be presented in typical Bob fashion, uber-organized and a an amazing reference source for the whole airgunning community.
Congratulations Bob.
