HW77K in .25

This rifle has always been on my mind and would always be on the minds of anyone owning an HW97K.  My 97K is in .20 and I had thought many times adding another HW97K would be a necessity in a bigger caliber than .20.

While shooting the 54 Air King I got used to it to the point to look and see how much they are and I was seriously going to go for one in .22.

So I've been looking online at air rifles comparable to the 54 in price being totally open to getting a side-lever.  Well this kind of jumping the ship leads to the opening of the mind to other possibilities to throw in for consideration--and the lever on my HW97 appeals to me more than the side-lever, so instead of "jumping ship" to get a nice new 54 I went back to basics with my underlevers and how I like them, even the HW57.

So I see the 77 and think a tad lighter but the power is about the same and then I think .22 or .25 and then immediately I knew it would be .25.

I will be done with Hector's Diana Air King 54 within a week, and as he said, having people test things for themselves is at the very least educational.  The 54 to me is no longer an ugly grease gun!  It is to be respected for both accuracy and power and smoothness of operation.

I was shooting Hectors and my .20s together at 0345 Hours this am.  I'm getting jokes about insomnia or a worse problem having to do with not being able to put down air rifles, but I assure you all that my up and awake hours are longer these days but I am not regretting it!  I have you all and air rifles to deal with

It's not happening! Just found out yesterday.  AOA does not have an HW77 .25 since 2 years ago!  How could I order one and find out on Columbus Day this news and what did I do about it?

Well, it turned into either an HW90 or HW80 and I wanted .25 but not the Gas Ram since my Theoben is alive and well! 

So it was the HW80 in .25 ordered instead.  AOA said the FTTs by HN would work better than the JSB Kings so those pellets were changed.

So what scope to use on this is just a matter of looking at what I have stored around my gun room.  I've always kept my scopes when selling rifles, and this practice has saved me thousands of dollars over 20 years.

PA's printed catalog states they stock a HW97kt in .25 cal but online they don't list it.
That's always confused me and I've never asked PA about it.

AoA has a .25 cal D56 but its over $900. That makes my knees feel a bit rubbery.
But durn that thing is a miniature cannon there!
I may get one eventually because I have been trying to collect various .25 cal springers.
I don't have a .25 side-lever yet.

My underlever .25 cals are Hatsan Dominators. They were the first springers I bought and I learned a lot from messing with them.

They should change their website which has been updated in the last two years.  I'm sure they could special order one .... obviously Weihrauch still makes 'em - maybe .
That said, I suspect not many folks buy Weihrauch Springers in .25 caliber unless its a HW80 or 90.
