Discovery ED Scope for Hunter Class Field Target?

Has anyone used a Discovery ED scope for Hunter Class Field Target?  If so, how was it... clarity, ability to range using the parallax wheel, etc.

I bought a Discovery HD 5-30X56 SFIR  for Piston HFT. The glass clarity, turret functionality, and light gathering ability is fantastic, though a bit heavy construction. So far, I'm testing it for precision of parallax focusing and I am impressed on how narrow the focusing spot is, even over 50 yards. I just machined a 6" aluminum parallax wheel for it in order to get better range and distance resolution. In the next week or two I should get a better idea of what it is truly capable of. Right now I am using an Athlon Argos BTR 6-24 x 50 and it works great up to 50 yards. From there to 55 yards is not as precise in parallax focusing as I like it to be. That is why I am evaluating the Discovery HD. Once I put it through the paces and I am satisfied I will use if for a few matches to see how it goes.

Sweet, I didn't know that you are on this forum.  Have you made sidewheels for ED Discovery scopes?  The PA knobs on these scopes are kinda funky.

Yes I made one 6" aluminum side wheel for my Discovery HD and then painted it with black epoxy paint. Just like the one you see on the Athlon in the picture.
