HI...
Was reading a newspaper artical online from the SUN newspaper
in England...
This bugger was shot with a air rifle on a houseing estate in bradford..
30" rat...Was talking with a guy on another forum he said they get
them near where he lives in Lincon England...

Holy smokes....that one's huge. I've only seen a big one....less than 1/2 the size of that one....and the alley cats were afraid of it!!!!! The 3 cats circled apprehensively around it but were afraid to approach closer....the rat wobbled (Most likely weak-kneed) back into the broken sewer pipe.

Wow that's some rat. Did they mention approx. how long it was or put it next to a measuring tape? The picture can be deceiving because he has it up against the camera, but judging from size of the long stick, it is no doubt an unusually big rat. It's probaby very close to the size of a small cat.
I have seen huge rats down by the Hudson River in Hoboken, NJ (a good size city) in the 80's behind the Maxwell House Coffee factory. They were about 30-40yds out. It was at night but the area around the factory was well lit. At first I thought they were cats, but quickly realized what they were running fast through the lit areas and staying in the dark. The security guard at the front confirmed they were "rats the size of cats". I definitely would not want to run into one of them at night without a 12+fpe gun,
