I have never been able to sight in a scope on this rifle. The horizontal adjust would never go down enough. I was able to get red dots to work but they would be at the lowest setting on horizontal but in range. This was true for a couple of red dots. I got a scope mount for a 460 with droop compensation built in. 17" at 30 ft I think. I put this on the BSF and could not get sighted in. Still not enough of down. I decided to reverse the mount and put the red dot on. Had to raise the horizontal and got it sighted in. The horizontal adjustment appeared to be in middle of range. Tomorrow I will try a scope to see if it will line up right. I guess this means that my rifle has -droop? It could be possible........no I will lay off the blue pill jokes.

Its the vertical adjustment that you are having problems with, not the horizontal. Horizontal is left and right. Vertical is up and down. There are adjustable mounts that you could experiment with and there are fixed anti droop mounts that come in different degrees, I believe. If nothing else works, you may end up having to bend the barrel slightly to compensate.

Vertical adjustment is fine. I have a set of adjustable mounts coming. I think they are c mounts.
