Okay thanks, I must've mixed up a .20 cal in place of the .25 since neither is an OEM caliber. A testament to the versatility of the QB platform.
Interesting note about the leade. Like you, I suspect it isn't all that critical so long as there's enough of a taper to help ensure the pellet loads axially (doesn't tip in the bore). I still have a slight preference for a hollow bolt probe for this reason, although I can't really say I've had any issues with pin probes.

I did a short video on the rifle with some example shooting using the RWS Supermags:

I can't keep them straight unless I collect them all for a group pictyure.
I'm "down" to 6 on the QB platform.....still seems like a lot...but thanks to the "tinker toy" nature of QB's, some of the excess got blended in to these 6 over time.

L to R:
.22 QB79 HPa TANKER. Rebarrled with it's issue barrel, shortened from the rear and the front. +205 shots (about 12.5 foot pounds per shot). So it was rebarrled with the middle section of the issue barrel.
.25 QB78 PCP. LW barrel/breech/bolt by Roy or Mountain Air, but now on an old 3K PCP tube. About 12 good solid shots at 58 foot pounds.
5mm QB78 using an HW 5mm blank. Was an HPA, reconvertted back to co2 use.
.177 QB II(Beeman 1085)...pretty much stock.
.177 QB78 converted to PCP use by way of a HiPac unit. Rear shorented issue QB barrel. Custom stock. So it was rebarreled with the issue barrel.
.177 AR2078 HPA conversion(with some stock frills). About 200 shots at 11.8 foot pounds per fill. Excellent issue barrel, no chnages there.
Can tell I like the platform, no matter what power source or power level.

Since this project worked out so nicely, I decided to go ahead and take one of the choked .22 barrels from the same clearance sale and start prepping it for installation. It’s just a 15 incher so I’m thinking a modest 20fpe will be a happy place to be.
This time I’m going to borrow Gipetto’s idea and make a separate loading tray instead of milling it into the barrel tenon.
It’s a 14mm blank so I don’t think I will be sleeving this one, unless I find there to be sufficient clearance between it and the bottle to accommodate a 16mm final OD. I don’t really want to fool with a breech riser.
I’ll put up some pics when it’s done. Hopefully it will be similarly agnostic to a variety of pellets. That’s always nice.
