 Not sure if this is the right gate, but thinking so. Looking for someone near my area who can replace the gas piston in my 25 cal. and clean and lube it correctly. I can cock it way to easy. It has no power . I live in N.C. . Please help.

JUST GOT BACK MY ANSWER FROM LEXINGTON AIRGUNS IN N.C. . THEY WANTED $79.00 FOR THE PISTON AND $45.00 A HOUR. SAID IT WOULD TAKE 3 HOURS TO DO. I THINK THAT THIS PRICE IS A BIT HIGH. TO OTHERS IS THIS A GOOD PRICE OR HIGH. WOULD LIKE TO HEAR COMMENTS.

Three hours seems too much unless they do extensive work like polishing the trigger components, hand fitting the piston seal etc. I would think replacing the gas piston and lubing could be done in an hour.

There are a few Hatsan owners here who work on their guns, maybe they can give a "hands on" opinion.

A piston replacement is easy as long as you have a spring compressor. To remove the trigger group, you'll need a dummy pin. There's a video on youtube uploaded by some guy in Brazil who tests different pistons in Hatsan Dominators- same quattro trigger group. In the video, he demonstrates the dummy pin that you need to fabricate. He makes the piston swap look easy and gets it done in just a few minutes. I used a fat nail to make a dummy pin. It just needs to be the right length and width to work. All the dummy pin does is hold together your trigger when you pull it out and put it back in. Its all demonstrated in the video. He speaks Portuguese but you don't need to understand what he's saying to understand what he's doing. Of course, doing this work will void your warranty.

The hard part is getting a OEM piston.
