Well, I just received the 2 scopes that I ordered.  It appears that Midway is selling the older version of this scope.  There were issues with the turrets on the first version of this scope and they changed the design on the latest version.  The most up to date version should have a single hex screw in the top of the elevation turret.  The scopes that I received didn't have this, so they went back.  The bummer is that I asked about this in advance, but the representative said it would take 2 days for them to check this out and get back to me.  I didn't want to miss out on the deal so I took a chance and placed my order... oh well.  I'm hoping the return process isn't too bad.

I ordered the 2.5 x 15 , it came today ,appears it is the older version too, l'm going too keep it , IIRC the problem with the turrents was just not a good feel to the clicks when adjusting the elevation or windage ,mine is acceptable for my needs, so if that was the only complaint with the original scopes,I'll just keep it ,if anything else comes up they do have a good warranty

Sorry, I don't remember    I just remember that there were issues with the first generation turrets on this scope, and that Athlon changed them.  I tried to get some information from Athlon about it, but they wouldn't provide any details.  They just said that this scope is being discontinued.

IIRC the issue with the turrents was a mushy feel to the adjustment ,no real audible click when turning, I'll admit its not load but my 63 yr old ears aren't the best to judge such things .I'm happy with mine, not sending back,I  have a vortex viper 6x 20.5 mildot and I  like the athlon rectical better and the glass is at least as good as the vortex,I  think I  even got the vortex from midway 7-8 yrs ago on a really good sale 299.99 IIRC
