Custom Benjamin Trail NP air pistol stock, Version 2.0 in Development!

Since I couldn't find anyone gonzo enough to make a Benjamin Trail NP air pistol stock for me, I am developing one myself!

Version 2.0 (codename "Stegosaurus") has 200% more possibly-aircraft-grade aluminium for increased rigidity! Plus 2X-strength steel brackets for unrivaled durability in the field!

I'm waiting for the adhesive to cure overnight before tightening everything down, adding a standard water-pipe-insulation butt-pad and covering the sharp bits with highly aesthetically-displeasing duct tape!

Behold "Stegosaurus" in all its splendor!

The shoulder stock for Benjamin Trail NP air pistol project was as successful as I had hoped!

Of course, if I had a nickel for every small detail that could be improved, well, I'd have a lot of nickels to make those changes.

I think the next iteration will need to wait until I can get access to a real metal shop, if that ever happens. If someone (Crosman, are you listening?) with the metal-working skills and equipment wants to take this project to the next level, let me know and I'll describe what I learned along the way designing and attaching my prototypes built from parts found at the local hardware store.

The current version accomplishes my goal of eliminating the issue of pressure escaping from the breech when the pistol is fired and satisfies my nostalgia for the cool-looking, but fragile, under-powered, and not-so-great to shoot, Barnett Hellfire that I owned in the distant past.

The custom carbine is terrific fun and puts 7.9-grain CPHP and Winchester Dome pellets out at a consistent muzzle velocity of about 540 fps and light 7.2-grain Daisy pointed pellets out as high as 575 FPS.

The long, heavy, and unpredictable trigger limits my ability to determine exactly how accurate the gun can be, but it will easily grant me one-inch groups at 20 feet and seems to especially like RWS Meisterkugeln pellets, but also shoots the less costly domes quite well.

Gotta' love it when an idea like this becomes a reality!
