    Thanks for the idea about the dime! I have a Crosman 1077, and I think the part that does the piercing is no longer properly putting a hole in the 12 gram CO2 can. I'm going to give ths a try.

 I have the Ruger 10 22 and can say it is worth paying a little more for it than the Crosman 1077.
