$600 Bottle Gun?

So, it sounds like I will have some disposable income soon and and naturally looking for a new toy.
 My Y.H. compressor has been performing well for about a year with occasional use (knock on wood) and I am now looking at rifles I have been wanting but could not hand pump.
 I had my heart set on a BSA R-10 or a Brocock, but honestly can not justify a Grand for an air gun.
I was seriously planning on an AirForce Talon.
But while browsing the PA catalog I see the Kral Puncher Pro 500
 This gun seems to check all the boxes.
500cc air tank = 80 shots per fill in .22
WOOD stock (Walnut)
Magazine fed repeater
On board power adjuster
AND.. It's a side lever. (I do love a side lever over a bolt.)

But Kral's reputation of poor customer support has me leery.
 PA does warranty it for a year so I would be going through them regardless, but what about after that?
Is there anything else out there in this price range I should be looking at?

With the upgrades the factory has done you should have no issues with this gun. Like most it will get better with tuning but very good out of the box with a barrel cleaning.

They redesigned the valve stem with better metal. They use the steel cocking biathlon style lever and the barrel machining looks better as well. the stem and lever are 90% or more of all complaints I know of.

A used Condor SS would be great for the price.  I just bought one and the Ring loc kit and it is a very versatile setup.  I am using a .095 top hat with a .20 barrel for over 100 shots at 20 ft lbs from a 2600 psi fill.  Running it wide open as delivered I could not get any .22 pellets to go sub sonic, all were cracking pretty good so I never did a full chronograph string.  The .125 top hat will do between 20 and 30 ft lbs depending on the power wheel setting and still have a fairly flat power curve.

The .20 optional barrel is what I like with the A.F. Talon.
While I have had very good luck with used guns on GTA classifieds, I have been bitten on Ebay and Gunbroker.
If I am going this big, I want a new one.

Budget is set in stone.
 The check is for $500 and I have $200 in the play money account.

Coming from a machinist point of view the Kral line looks like high school kids did the metal work the stock on the other hand is top notch. BSA makes nice guns but a pain to work on. If you’re interested in an R10, I could work a deal with you for the same action I have listed.

I’d put a brand new stock regulator back in, and swap the stock to a right handed black stock. Scope and other accessories would still be included.

Yes, that stock is beautiful. but it is a photo oop photo. Not what your gonna get. That is a VERY expensive piece of walnut!


112 left for a scope? They don't make good scopes for that kind of money.

i have never had a kral, but heard about poppet issues, interesting that there are no real person reviews of the ekinoks, though they are on PA's refurb list already, for a $600 semi auto yah think someone would have jumped in and said something

go for the hawk, JSAR will stand behind it, then just get a new stock style for your sentry.....
but really in the end we follow our hearts and hopes when deciding and it seems everyday we add to our dreams quickly out pacing our funds for this passion
