Beeman Sportsman RS1 Series update

In the recent past, I posted here about a Beeman RS1 Sportsman Series 177 caliber rifle I found in a pawn shop. The post was titled “Possible pawn shop rescue”. The rifle was $50.00, and I needed to know if it was worth it. I was advised to look at the trigger. If it was a black stamp rolled trigger, avoid it completely. If it was a silver trigger, (both triggers had photos to illustrate) then it was a great trigger.
A friend of mine inherited a Beeman RS1 Sportsman Series 177 cal. From his Brother. It has the good silver trigger. He left it with me to babysit it, and get it shooting good. I totally agree that it is a very good trigger! I only wish that my Crosman rifles had such a great trigger! It’s a joy to shoot! WOW!!

I was glad my first modern break barrel beeman rs2 .177/.22 had that trigger, or should I say the air gun retailers that got all my business after I got hooked
Still have that rifle great shooter no issues once I got the scope to stop moving, actually it is back t o open sights now they work well also

"If it was a silver trigger, (both triggers had photos to illustrate) then it was a great trigger."
Actually there are two versions of the "silver " trigger, maybe more. I have two guns and two silver triggers that look the same but are not. Got to look closer, look up into the trigger where the adjustment screws are.
The "good" one is aka the "RS2" trigger with a total of three adjustment screws if including the pull weight adjustment. The other is aka the "mystery trigger" and has one adjustment screw. It isn't a "bad" trigger per se, but it isn't nearly as nice as the RS2.
I also have a Norica with a black trigger and it is an RS2, same design, same three adjustments, same plastic blade but flat black, not silver.
Usually the safety lever in front of an RS2 will have a kind of "dog leg" angle shape to it where as the others don't. But I wouldn't rely on that possibility, best bet is verify the three adjustments screws are present. Two are behind the blade but in it at the top and to the rear of that, beside the rear trigger guard screw, is the weight screw.
FWIW, the "RS2" is a Norica designed trigger I believe.
