I have the standard SS and like it a lot. I do not need that much power and like the shorter length of the SS.

I've been eyeing it because of the increase in power over my current SS for deer hunting here in AR.

I'm also waiting to see if the AEA Zeus is vaporware or not.

I was SUPER excited when I heard about these coming out, I thought they may be significantly shorter than my standard Texan with the old RL Shroud on it and close to as quiet.  Well it's 2" shorter, my RL shrouded Texan is 56", this one is 54".  And according to IV8888's review it is definitely louder so it's not going to be something I'll be buying anytime soon but for those that have no suppressor, it is a HUGE difference and I found my Texan was even more accurate with NSA's 220gn with the RL Shroud on so I imagine it very well could be the same here.  It's a very nice touch for those of us that hunt in areas where people hate hearing PB/ML's going off and this is a farrrr cry from that...it's helped me land new hunting land in MD just because how quiet and safe these big bore guns are.  With all that said, remember this though...high power + soft lead = dust...be sure to clean frequently.
