Hello everybody. After contacting Cygnus he kindly sent me the dimensions of his valve. I copied his design and machined one, it was very difficult to make it seal but eventually it sealed properly. It worked ok at 1000, 1500 and 2000 psi but after that it wont fire... my hammer and spring are stock pieces, the condor has a .423" bore barrel (it worked with chinese valves but wanted more power). I believe the valve is overpowering the hammer/spring but have no idea on how to calculate hammer weight-spring power. Any one has any ideas?

Yeah that is way to big to open. With my Texan setup poppit it only .440" and it takes a heavy spring to open. That's with cocking lever.
Make the port .340" and poppit .380". Use peek and should be able to open that.
What's the hole size in the stem?

Yeah so .340" is good and .380" poppit. You will need a 125 gram hammer and 13lb hammer spring

I was able to find a spring that at least in size fits:
OD: 0.9565
ID: 0.8215
Lenght: 6 inches
Wire diameter: 0.0610"
Coils: 10
I used an online calculator (acxessprings) that gave me:
K (spring rate): 3.950 lb/In
Total force: 12.79 LbF
Max Load: 12.79 LbF
The same calculator on the original spring gives me:
K: 3.149
Total Force: 10.1 LbF
Max Load 10.1 LbF
Talon Tunes spring
K: 4.94
Total force 19.22 LbF
Max Load: 15.2 LbF
Is my spring ok?
At 6 inches it fits (hammer cocking fires ok) if I put the power wheel on 0, based solely on noise there´s a lot of air coming out
I paid about 1.50 USD for it

Spring is to long. You need a 3.5" spring if you want to have room for heavier hammer. I have a spring if you want it

Problem is that I´m in Mexico, shipping would be astronomic. Is that the way you rate a spring? I´ve been asking around and people is not sure (rating) , I´ve located a spring factory at a moderate distance but would like to be sure of what I´m asking. Thanks again for the advice

It seems to be sealing, could not find peek here, only full size rods (around 8 feet long) so I'm using acetal. It is sealing but I need pressure on the tank. Something around 300psi in order for the valve to totally seal. Problem is I dont have a compressor and is not on my next to buy list for a long while... how can I improve the seal? as mentioned Im using acetal, the recommended size with a 40 degree angle...

Everything must be concentric. My Texan valve seals at 100 psi with peek and no spring in the valve.
With asetal it should seal easier. Peek is a lot harder
