Does an H&N 22 caliber pellet sampler exist?

I am seeking an H&N 22 caliber pellet sampler.

If I were a pellet manufacturer, I would make sure that I offered pellet samplers, in each caliber, that contained all pellets that I manufactured.   It only makes good marketing sense, doesn't it?

Well, I have searched for, and cannot find, an H&N 22 caliber pellet sampler.  Am I missing something?

Not according to the H&N website.... only a "hunting sampler" in .177....

I recieved a kind email response today from an H&N representative, with an apology for the delay.

So, I may be able to remain an H&N customer.

Mentioned an idea for a pellet sampler kit to wendy over at pa and she said she wrote it down and would bring it up at their next sales meeting.. so idk if pa will try it out but here is what I suggested

You choose 1 caliber and pick any 5 pellets you want weight or shape does not matter and you get 15 pellets of each of ur choices for $25 - $30.. to me that seems like a fair deal since you really have test different pellets and pa makes money off it.its also a cheaper way for the customer to try different pellets with out having to spend 45+ dollars to buy tins of pellets only to end up using 1 or 2 brands that you will use out of the 5 or 6 you bought to test out..

So in the future pa might start having some kind of pellet sampler kit you can put together

We all appreciate the fact that different guns prefer different pellets.  So, in a quest for a really good pellet, one must sample several.

In my case, I bought a pellet sampler from straightshooters http://www.straightshooters.com/straightshooters/samplercontent22.html.  That sampler contains 18 different pellets.  

My gun shoots 6 of 18 pellets very well, and 5 of the 6 best performing pellets are from 2 manufacturers.  Therefore:
1- It is worth further exploration to determine which among the 6 should earn a place in the stable.
2- It is worth further exploration to determine how other pellets from the 2 manufacturers might perform in my gun.

I would suggest that if my experience is similar to the experiences of othersn, then any good commerically-available pellet sampler should contain at least a dozen pellet styles from more than 2 manufacturers.

If I were a pellet manufacturer, I certainly would be offering pellet samplers to customers at a VERY reasonable price.  My sampler would contain 20 of each pellet that I made.  I think I could do that for $5-7, including shipping.

The Straight Shooters samplers have 25 of each pellet in them. I think thats a fair and reasonable number. Its also the most inclusive samplers I have found. I found it to be a valuable tool in my pellet search. I kept good notes and compared all the groups. I started by shooting a 5 shot group with all the pellets. I took the acceptable ones and shot another 5 shot group with each. Then, with the top contenders, I repeated the process to narrow the field even further. With the last 10 pellets of the best of the best, I tried to shoot the best possible group while shooting over the chrony. Then I compared the chrony results and the groupings to arrive at my decision. That process has worked for me and I dont think I could have been as thorough with a sampler that had fewer than 25 of each pellet.

Yep, well, I started by shooting 3-shot groups.  The best groups get followed up by 5-shot groups.  That is enough shooting for me to make my choice.

Besides, I have plenty enough pellets left over, and can sell this sampler to somebody else who cares to do the same.  Heck, he/she can do the same and pass it on.  For a shooter, 25 pellets is enough for 3 jobs!  

Now that I think about it, I am just going to save this sampler in case I get another gun.

I reckon I'm as much a shooter as anybody else. But I know that 3 pellets aint enough to go on when I'm making a decision on how to best spend my money.

Aren't we all shooters?  That is the great thing about shooting.  Sometimes enough is....well, enough.  Sometimes it takes a little more, some times it takes a little less.  If one gets a solitary hole with 3 shots, then what could be the point in additional mastication?  For me, there would be no advantage.

On the other hand, being a left-handed wingshooter, hitting that high bird 2 is a devil of a shot.  So, when I have been off skeet for a while and am getting back to it, sometimes I have to shoot a half-box (or maybe a few more) just to get it right.  Once done, I am good to go.  But a couple years later and off for a few months, I have to do it all over again.  That is where 3 shots doesn't work for me!
