And no, shooting slugs thru a choke will not damage the barrel. You may shoot slugs thru a choke just fine. However for good accuracy, you will want to size the slugs to fit the choke, not the barrel itself. I have three non choked barrels here, and they all shoot pellets at about an inch at 80 yards Sometimes a little over. When choked, the groups were slightly smaller. Remember, even at that, with chokes, most pellet barrels aren't as accurate as these are. So chokes help with poorly made, or odd sized pellets in the same batch, but are not the end all in good quality pellets. A choke is basically a bandaid for less than stellar pellets. That's its purpose. That, and less than consistent barrel making skills and quality. Knife
It will shoot pellets well but not as well as a choked barrel but should still be MOA at 50 yards which is the standard now. If your going to shoot slugs definitely go unchoked JMHO
