HELP Problems w/new disco .177

I received my new Disco .177 today, pumped it up to 2k psi and couldn't hit a target at 20 yards. I was using CHP and Predator pellets. After about 30 shots I took aim at a can and after 10 more shots I made a hit but when I went to take a look at the can all I saw was a dent.  I lined up for another shot but couldn't make contact.  I can't even tell if its hitting low high left or right.  I don't have a chrony so I don't know if fps are where they should be.  Any advice on where to start and what I should be looking for?? Move in to 10 yards and sight in there before moving out to 20 yards.... Is the gun stock in every way? (no muzzle brake, trigger changes, etc.).... What was the air pressure after 30 shots starting from 2000 psi?....

It's completely stock, didn't clean the barrel or lube anything. I wanted to see how it stock straight out of the box.  I was so disappointed with the lack of accuracy I didn't look to see where the pressure gauge was after shooting.  I will try again tomorrow and take note of the pressure reading after shooting.  Should I be taking a specified number of shots before taking a look at the pressure gauge?

Fill to 2000 psi, take 30 shots and then record what the gauge says.... It should be somewhere around 1000-1200 psi.... On a .22 cal it would be about 1000 after 30 shots.... I've never had a .177 Disco so it might be a bit higher but not a lot....

If it's much over 1200 psi you have a problem.... likely the hammer is dragging on something and not opening the valve properly.... That will give low and erratic velocities.... Report back with the results and hopefully we can take it from there....

Hi Bob,

First off thank you for your help, its very much appreciated.  I think I may have solved the accuracy problem.  This is what I did: I set up a 10 yard target and took a shot. It landed way to the right just barely touching the cardboard the paper was set up on.  At this point I decided to mount a scope to see if the open sights were that far off.  The next shot was off of everything.  After some head scratching and very close visual inspection I decided to loosen the barrel band and re-tighten.  the next shot brought it on to the paper, still way to the right but on the paper.  I pumped back up to 2000 psi and began to take 10 shots to sight it in. I was on target after 5 shots and the next 5 were grouping well and on target. the next 20 shots were at 20 yards and grouping well or as good as I could get them.  I took a look at the gauge and it was at the start of the green.  I attached the pump took 2 strokes to pressurize and on the third stroke I heard the air move to the disco, and the gauge on the pump read 900 psi, is that ok?
