Hawke Airmax 30 Compact SF

I'm considering buying one of these scopes and was wondering if anyone had any experience with them and would care to comment. The potential rifle it would go on would be a S510 XS TDR. Thanks in advance.

I am not familiar with that particular scope.  Hawke's customer support is fantastic, though.

My 5 yr. old Endurance bit the dust recently. As Hawke has changed the design of the scope, I had to upgrade to another model as the new design only allows for a minimum focus of 15 yards which is not close enough for for Field Target use. I upgraded to the Sidewinder 6x24x56 which has a fully illuminated reticle. The Airmax scopes are priced about the same as the Sidewinders but just has the center dot  illuminated. If the Compact size is not a critical factor for you, you may want to consider the Sidewinder. The fully illuminated reticle is a great asset in sighting hold-over for dark targets as the black etching tends to disappear. In either case, as stated, their CS is the best, I sent my scope in last Tuesday and they are shipping my replacement today. Hopefully I'll have it for the long weekend ahead!

I have an Airmax 30 SF 6x24. Excellent scope, I've got it on my most accurate springer. I also have the Endurance 6X24 with the dot instead of the X on the crosshair. Excellent scope, been on a HW97 for several years, no issues.

I strongly suggest that you explore the Optisan scopes.  If you still like the Hawke, no harm no foul.
