Actually I feel strongly that simply putting oil in when you first get a freedom is not enough. You should take apart the entire pump up to the check valve. After you've taken out the 3rd stage pump head replace the small oring and blow out the tube. The solid flat oring sheds alot and you find pieces of stuff in each pump chamber. Clean and wipe all orings and relube them then reassemble the pump and it should be good with just the few drops of oil every 100 shots or so.
