However you are not out of the woods yet
It took 2 replacements for me to finally get a working Freedom

As soon as yours arrives please lube the pump with silicon oil, even if it appears to have been done already
I had success lubing every 10 (slow) pumps.
And also developed the routine of shooting no more than 5 shots before pumping again.

Now on a regular basis I shoot 3, and sometimes only 1, and then pump
Lubing before every shooting session has become a way of life.

Anyone reading this, please feel free to offer a different opinion.
Mine is all seat of the pants knowledge

Thats a good description of what I did.I read posts on here on watched vids on you-tube before buying.I assumed the guys on there pumping the *(&^ out of them were the ones having problems.You know what happens when you assume.Its on its way to ATI at no cost to me with warranty intact.

Actually I feel strongly that simply putting oil in when you first get a freedom is not enough. You should take apart the entire pump up to the check valve. After you've taken out the 3rd stage pump head replace the small oring and blow out the tube. The solid flat oring sheds alot and you find pieces of stuff in each pump chamber.  Clean and wipe all orings and relube them then reassemble the pump and it should be good with just the few drops of oil every 100 shots or so.

I hope I'm clear. But the parts that need oil are deeper in the pump than just the first stage. Even though what you put in the first stage hole might eventually get go the 3rd stage, the orings in the second and 3rd need more oil/grease than they come with. Plus because this gun is put together rather quickly, edges are not chamfered enough. When you disassemble the pump gently chamfer all the openings and clean throughly.  I'm working on an O-ring list for the freedom pump, which is given in the parts diagram but a little mixed up with id vs od. Been working on this the last week now and feel I've gotten a handle on why and how the pump is failing.

I also work in manufacturing, and know for a fact that some ppl put more care into their work and build-up than others so the ppl putting together these guns aren't all the same and didn't care about the finer details as much as you or I do.

Silent squirrel,  I totally agree with you, just in the very beginning I feel and deeper clean is necessary to get started on the right footing.

I realize this is a old thread but I just wanted to say, I just took my pump apart for the first time and the Oring that everybody is replacing is still in perfect shape after 1.5 years of use. I also need to tell everyone that the Oring was very well lubed. Only reason I disassembled the pump is the check valve is leaking pressure back into the pump.
I also want to thank soupyy for his excellent step by step disassembly of the pump. I MIGHT have been able to do it on my own but? It made it very  easy.

Does anybody know where I can get the small Piston Head 000p2-024-w-00. I unfortunately snapped it off. I am also getting no response from Air Venturi. Evidently Pyramid Air And ATK do not carry parts. Thanks, Android.
