Yesterday Hoosier Momma was in a jam, so I took 1/2  vacation day from work and grilled 40 burgers and 40 "gentleman" sized hotdogs at the golf coarse for a small outing. Bought the "look pretty" petunias and potting soil for HER flower pots that I plant, water, prune, and de-head all summer.

Today, I get to go to the Lodge and cook a roaster full of Taco meat, then go grill 45 burgers and Brats for another golf outing, and THEN go to "Dead-eye Lou's" Baby Shower

Yes... I am going to become a GREAT-Grand Dad soon!

Bill, he will probably have to make a parking space for the trailer, believe me that trailer will get used more than the tractor. I had to do that, mine is 18ft. and comes in handy for hauling long things with out having to cut it up and stack it on the truck.

Yes ma'am, I use my 16' 2 axle ATV trailer more for moving and hauling other stuff than I do hauling the ATVs. My 10' mower trailer is the same. Both of them got the floor boards replace last year.

Thanks, Kris! Yeah, this trailer will be mostly dedicated to equipment. My other trailer will be dedicated to utility and scrap loads. I’ve got parking, but it’ll be even better when I get 2 of those 4 dead trees down. Those 2 are birch trees and will come down and cleanup quick.

You bet, Bill. Since we bought this place in 2010, I’ve had a need for fill dirt to get the west-side terrain built up. I got one tri-axle dump load several years ago and moved it with a wheelbarrow & shovels. Never-again… but I’ll be ordering more dirt soon!
I also want to at least double my 3 1/2 acres, my house is all the way back in my northwest corner. This machine will sure come in handy. This year, I’m still working on my wife’s raised garden. I should have her ready to transplant today. Next year, I’ll have her a better garden area. It’s about time we join my neighbors at being a little more self-sufficient on veggies & meat.

The only problem with that is you will continue to find things that need cleaning up and move around, not to mention a bigger garden if you are not careful. Another words, casting and shooting time will be cut in half.

Yup! Fortunately, for me- I picked this machine based on my second neighbor down let me use his same tractor last year to level the pool spot we have. I don’t think I’ll have to up-size this tractor anytime soon. But, I’ve already had a few projects that has kept me from shooting this past year. If I get myself any busier, well- I hope I can keep focused on one thing at a time and leave a little room for shooting… fortunately, most of my projects keep airgun/shooting in mind. Even if it’s the pool or garden work, there’s material/dirt to be added or removed for the range.

All this talk about tractors… Yesterday, after I made my next-to last mower payment, I slapped my signature down on the salesman’s desk for this package, trailer included. It’s getting prepped in the shop and I’ll pick it up between Monday and Wednesday:

I got to tell you John, I do miss my international construction tractor even though it was a money pit. It was made in the early 70's and I was constantly having to fix something but it did save my back.

Last time I loaned my trailers out one came back with the jack stand bent and the other had all the light wiring ripped out. I don't loan them out anymore.

I had to go to a public shooting range today.   It was awful, too many people, too much bad behavior and bad shooting.   Maybe it's better on a weekday.   I'm so thankful that I can shoot peacefully in my backyard or at my  F&G club.

 Found a huge yard sale, (indoor and out) benefit Local Humane Society. No set prices. By donation only.
 Found a Coleman 2 burner, fuel stove.  The kind you have to pump. Box was old and kinda crusty.
Anyway, took a chance, like buying a scratch ticket.   Offered the clerk $3 and she gladly took it.
 Told her I hope it works,and she wished me good luck.

 Well, got home and took this out of the box. It is like new. Looks like maybe used once and  then stored.

Even had a bit of gas left in it.  Oiled the leather seal, pumped it up and it fired up.

Nice find Wendell, I watched my grandfather fry many a fish on one, he had a big dutch oven pot he used to fry them in. Ah, the good ol' days.

Dragged most of the air guns stuff into the shop, managed to clean a spot out to set the compressor up and store all the accessories with it. Did some pest removal with the Urban. Hopefully I can that under control before the tomatoes get ripe.

John looks like you scored! My blue tractor looks a lot like that also but I didn't get a trailer with it and wish I did. I thought I had a long drive way. Sounds like you're well off the road which is always nice. 

Hopefully I'll score Monday as well by finally getting my other mower back after being in the shop since last friggin March needing a new engine which has 1hp more than the original which should handle the tall stuff even better when mulching.

Today was a scat ton of limb cutting and removal with the trimmer and chain saw and I'm beat but the good thing from that is more strength in the days ahead. I can now one hand the heavy trimmer when I couldn't at the beginning of this season.

  I bought a Honda CT90 today because... well you know I need it. LOL
  It is in great condition and was for sale 25 miles away.  The odometer reads 1204 miles but even as nice as it is it is hard to believe that is all the original miles it has. It runs excellent though and starts with one kick most times.
 The chain is a little rusty and the is a little surface rust on some bolts and unpainted parts. It will clean up and look almost new though.

Made the "Least popular ranger at the park" list today.  I had to shut down the diving tower twice because of rough housing and bad behavior.  We had a crank who had been prowling around all morning trying to pick a fight with a ranger (it happens).  When I shut the tower down the second time he went into Super Karen Mode.  Started yelling at me about arbitrarily shutting down the tower because I "wanted to make the kids cry".  Yeah. . . . .  Sure. . . . . Park rangers just do that stuff because we're all on a power trip.  Guy insisted that nothing had happened to justify closing the tower.  Except he couldn't see what was going on on top of the platform from where he was standing.  No point in arguing with the moron so I just handed him the park manager's business card and encouraged him to call her if he had an issue.  Now I feel bad that this creep is going to call my PM and give her a hard time just because he enjoys griping.  She'll back me to the hilt on it.  She knows what its like on the beach on a Saturday but she doesn't need to waste her day off listening to a crank whine about something he knows nothing about.
