yay. Yesterday the clogged output filter in the septic tank backed up the blackwater into the basement workshop and the carpeted rooms next to that. so yesterday and today I worked at moving things unaffected and got on the phone with insurance and ServPro... ServPro came RIGHT OUT! but I have a couch, Ham radio equipment and RC Sailboats and metal detector stuff AND AIRGUN Range bag and accessories that all need moving so I can have them ( ServPro) cut up the soaked carpet and make way for their cleaning and air 'purifying' stuff. Joy of Joys. So a teeny bit airgun related The ServPro folks in Concord N.H. are on my good peeps list, easy to deal with and VERY understanding.
Moved my airgun cabinets in the shop for easier access

I've been on a septic system for close to 20 years in my former and current home and have never heard of that. Leah lines and septic tank yes.

I just have clean out pipes sticking up out of the ground every 75 to 100 feet on my current system but my tank is 100 yards away from the house and the leach lines are another 100 yards long. Yeah, it's hugh but because of the percolation of the ground that's what is needed.

I have TWO filters that have to be cleaned about once every three months. We do it ourselves right now but the memsahib and I ain't getting any younger. I'll have to pay some one to do it before too long.
Bill. What I've got at home ain't nuthin to what I work on at the park! LOL! I used to maintain a septic system that had eight cess pits each with two 8" macerator lift pumps that had to be pulled regularly to unclog them. You would be amazed at what people will flush down a public toilet (or maybe not? ).And yeah we used to joke about "where's Mike Rowe?" when we were pulling a lift pump.
My saw makes a 1/4" kerf, so on a 8" wide cant that's 12' long I'm making 864 cubic inches of sawdust per pass, give or take.

Diapers at the very least I'm guessing? I'd pay to have it cleaned. I'm a wuss like Bill when it comes to poop.
