Betty Lou finally got her swing that she has wanted ever since her mamma passed. Her and her mamma used to sit on the porch swing together when she visited her. Now she can sit on her own swing and visit with her mamma again.
I hung it from a tree limb 20' up.

I spent the morning at the funeral parlor arranging my brothers internment.  Mom went outside while I went over the itemization of the Bill with the funeral director.  He was a good coffin salesman but I’m better (I’ll make you believe you NEED that solid bronze!).  I didn’t like their math and got it down from $5,580 to $3,079.  Basic cremation, no urn, no service.  He would have approved.

Thank you all for your prayers and condolences.  This is s tough time for us right now and your concern is greatly appreciated.

Sam you did good taking care of him despite how he treated you earlier in life. Sad to lose a family member for sure but hopefully you'll have some relief in life not having to take care of him anymore.

I rewired the Warn winch on my 20’ flatbed trailer this afternoon.  Been meaning to do it for months.  Tomorrow we’ll take the flatbed to town and pick up my brother’s Kia SUV and bring it back here.  It runs but it’s got two flats and I don’t trust it to get all the way here.

Sam... I went out to Charles' barn and grabbed his 24' extension ladder.

Yeah, that means you had to climb a ladder to do it.  You won’t catch me going up on one of those things.  My fear of heights has gotten worse with age.  That and my vertigo keeps me out of tree stands and off ladders now.  My new deck is about the scariest I can manage anymore.

Trust me, I went slowly one step at a time. Fortunately I only had to go up and down twice. Once for each chain.
I used to walk 2x4 walls 2 stories up back in my house building days but those days are long gone. I get weak kneed now when I blow the leaves off the roof.

I almost completed my list of things to get ready for the trip. The last things on the list are to sleep get up early grab my phone and charger and ice chest, snacks and my smart watch charger and get down the road. It's time to head to bed now.

So much for working in a fire tower. Most of them that I worked in where 120 ft above the ground. The cab was 7ft. x 7ft. Knees had to be in good shape, not afraid of heights, and not have claustrophobia. Great cardio workout, working by yourself, and the view spectacular was a plus. Yes they would sway in high winds, the climb was brutal and you had to hang on for dear life or get blown off. I recently bought a safety platform for the frontend loader to reduce the risk factor of a ladder. I hate ERs.

 I just about finished dredging the drainage ditch, I ended early yesterday 4:30pm, as I got the Bobcat stuck in a rut, why i risked getting it stuck 3 times I have no clue   No one was around to run a tow vehicle so I said wait for today

Barn buddy at work.  Home life is basically on hold while I get through the rest of this work week.  At least I got to sleep in my own bed last night even though it seemed like a second in time. Be well my airgunning friends!
