Tonight we plan on going to Walmart for the stuff we couldn't find at the dollar store. The ATV parks don't allow glass containers and we're being careful not to buy things that a mouse can chew into. We'll be putting most things into Tupperware type containers. Since the fridge don't work we'll use that for storing dry food items.Tonight will be mostly blinds, rods and curtains.Bill if you can get the metal ammo cans, the big and small ones, they will be the best storage options against mice and rats. Yes, they are little heavy but can't be chewed through. They will plow through plastic. I had rats get into mine and made one h3ll of mess in there. Not only will they chew up stuff but nest and defecate to the point it stinks. It took me 2 months to get rid of the stench. It is a daily check now. It cost me about $600 to replace what was damaged. They will chew up wiring as well if they get in the walls. I keep my mattress, linens, and food out of the trailer until I am going to use it. I use the sterilite container for temporary use when traveling but not for permanent storage. I always check for poop pellets and ways for them to get in. All they need is a 3/4 in gap and they are in. Just one of the joys of owning an RV.Round 2 of the shop shovel out, spent most of the day cleaning up storm debris from around the shop so I could get the tractor to the door. This is worse than cleaning up the dead trees, it's looks like a Cat 5 hit inside my shop. One garbage can is full already and haven't even made a dent in the disaster.

Brett, I have the exact same toolbox. It was meant to replace a slightly smaller old-school Crasftsman (from the early 80s). As it turns out, I'll probably be selling away both boxes and lot of the tools. I'd rather not pay for storage when I can likely sell a few things and pass on some good trades-tools to some young buck (or doe) just getting started.Along the way I ended up at Wally-World. ZERO air pistols. NONE.

If you are using a front end loader and a back hoe to clean your shop, you definitely have it worse than I do! Good for you getting going on a project like that. I’m starting to feel real good about mine now. Far from done but I’ve put a good dent in it and I can move around in there now. I raised a work surface that was attached to the wall. Now I can roll the table saw under it to save space. I have a mobile base delivering today for my second bandsaw so that will be easy to move once I assemble and install it. The plan is to keep the woodworking tools mobile and I’ll push/pull them out into the open floor space as I need them. I’m hoping to make the space to keep the center clear for whatever I want to use it for at the moment. We have grown so much that the space needs to be a multi-purpose space instead of just a wood shop. It needs to be an organized storage unit, a gym, project room, shooting room, airgun tinkering shop and a workshop/wood shop. Just a general purpose room. It’s not very big but it’s separate from the house and it’s mine so I’m gonna love anyway. I feel better about it already!
Brett and Kris... I need to do the same to my shop. I started in the fall but need to follow up. Somewhere in there is two large C-clamps... but I have not been able to find where I left even one of them. So as my addition...I did NOT have to fire a Maintenance person today. The neighboring company had my 2nd Shift Maintenance Tech on surveillance video putting stuff of theirs (stored outside) into our Company truck and driving away. Turns out that she went to school with that company owner's son. He said my Tech could have those "select items" for a project at home. "whew"!

It’s not very big but it’s separate from the house and it’s mine so I’m gonna love anyway. I feel better about it already! My shop is a 12x24 metal shed that is behind my house. It survived the storm with out a scratch. I had to clean the fallen trees from around it to get the tractor to the door. It became a storage area when I lost the moblehome in the divorce, then used it for storage when building the new house, and now it is holding everything that didn't get destroyed in the storm in it. I have about 25 years of stuff that needs to be gone through. I had bought it to run my woodworking and quilting business, the quilting part went by by but the working end of it is still going on when I slow down enough to make things to sell. Wood is not a problem since Michael wiped out the trees around here. I have a chainsaw mill so I can cut what I need on site without having to haul the entire tree to the house. Right now it's just getting the pieces picked up, get things fixed and cleaned up.
Brett, I have found if an appliance is more than 10 years old and becoming a mechanical problem, it just easier and cheaper in the long run to replace it. At least your band saw is usable, I have one that is still in a box in my shop. I have bench top saws due to moving around so much in the past. I kept it that way so it was easy to pack them and not take up space when moving. The bench top band saw has only a 3" cut so that limits me on certain things, the trade off is I can go anywhere with it. Anyway, I will eventually get back in my shop again.
Started out for Troy after work to buy blinds, rods and curtains. The Nitro had other ideas. The temp gauge pegged and lights and dingers started going off. Pulled into the Autozone and put the code reader on it.... thermostat. I guess the recent water pump fiacso took it out also..... stuck like Chuck. So, the boys from work came over and swapped it out... only problem is.... it didn't fix it. It pegged out hot again.Sent the boys home and came in the house to sit in my sh)t..... enter the amazing world of the interweb. After watching several you tube videos I noticed they were unscrewing an 8mm grub screw.... WTh is that?... turns out it's a bleeder. On a Dodge/Jeep 3.7 it sits on top of the housing where the thermostat would go on any other motor... (thermostat on the Dodge 3.7 is on the lower radiator hose). Anytime you drain the cooling system you have to bleed the system off until it stops bubbling. So, I got up this morning, went outside under a light and bled the cooling system.... took all of 5 minutes. Fired it up and it went right to normal operating temp and held right there. I took it for an aggressive 10 mile drive and it stayed right at normal temp..... heater works and it appears to be all good.I have never seen a bleeder in a cooling system before.
I have the height extension on the one on the right. It’s set up for resawing. It has a 12” resaw capacity now. I also have a fence on that one. The one on the left is “regular” height and is set for sawing curves. I need to go through both saws again and tune/adjust them up. Bandsaws can be a great pleasure to use if set up and adjusted properly. If they are not adjusted right, they are a huge headache to use and will be a bear to cut with yielding poor results.
When you are fortune enough to have country property... some "City dillholes" think they can drive down the back road and dump their trash.I came home to furniture in my field.I piled it up in a mass, poured kerosene on it and burnt it on the spot. Who knows what bed bug / HIV / Corona was infested in it.

I don’t how anyone can convince themselves that it’s acceptable to dump their trash like that. I hate litter. It even gets my blood boiling when I see cigarette butts flicked out the car window. Someone that lives on our road (don’t know who) must have liked to finish up their smoke and toss the butt out in the same spot before they got home. That spot happened to be right on the street in front of my house. I would go out and find butts scattered along the road. No repect.
