Just received my HP compressor yesterday. Decided this morning to just see if it runs. Had both bleed screws open but the darn thing wouldn't turn over at all. It just buzzes as the motor tries to turn the compressor part. Already contacted vendor and will see what he says. Very disappointed!!

If there is not sufficient amperage available on the circuit that you are plugged in to, this can happen. I'd try a different outlet, preferably one with little to no other additional load. Also, make sure that you are plugged in directly to the outlet, extension cords are a no-no.

If you still have issues I would suspect the capacitor but I have heard of at least one person who's machine had temporarily "froze". If i remember correctly they unplugged and manually turned the crank a little. Plugged it back in and all was good.

Yep, reach into the fan shroud on the motor and 'goose' that fan a bit. Use something other than a screwdriver. Like maybe a popsicle stick.

I'll give both suggestion a try this evening after it cooled off some. It triple dig out there right now.

Not saying all will have same results but, I run mine on a 100' construction cord with a light and water pump plugged into a 3way. The cord is then plugged into the same outside outlet as our 5cf freezer. I've yet to have an issue.... oh wait... it did smoke a power switch once but I think that was a weak switch or loose connection... I replaced it with no further problem.

I've had similar issues and solved them by spinning the fan as noted by avator.

Plugged it into a wall outlet and botta boom it runs!!! I guess the cord I was plugging into had just to small a gage wire in it. Need to make a 12 gage 6 ft extension cord for it with 2 outlets on the end. YEA!!!!!!

Well, I filled my rifle for the first time, almost. I got up to about 3600 to 3700 psi and the burst disk popped! Hey Bill, have you ever had that problem with your pump? That's about where I'll be filling most of the time but wanted to take it up to 4000 to see if it still leaked.

WOW! If that is a NEW Yong Heng at THAT price... I may have to get one and look at some more PCP's other than the Nova Freedom I have now!

Of course, that old saying "if it sounds too good to be true..." keeps coming to mind.

Also, first time I have EVER ordered ANYTHING off of eBay and depending on how it goes, may be the last time!

The seller did seem to have a decently high rating... for what that is worth...

We'll see.

No FB yet from anyone who bought the compressor. The seller has 2 negatives out of about 100 transactions- both for items never arriving. One says tracking shows the item was delivered, buyer says not delivered- could be buyer scam or stolen package. The other negative FB indicates the seller didn't respond to the non delivery and besides no FB on the compressors it's this supposed lack of communication by the seller that would be my concern.

Estimated delivery June 25, but I am not holding my breath. If all else fails, my CC company is very good about taking care of charges that are not fulfilled. Been there and done that a couple of times.

The thing is, with the Nova Freedom I really did not need this compressor! Of course, NOW, I HAVE to buy a better PCP! Or 2 or 3! (chuckle)

Seriously... I will be thinking about another PCP if this compressor works out OK and I will be looking for suggestions. Of course, I bought a Nova Freedom and a $57 compressor, so you kind of get the feel for my price range.

I read the negs. Those items appear to have come from China. The compressor info states it ships from Cali. I'm thinking the 10 day shipping to my zip would be due to the fact that it will be shipped ground because of weight/cost. It is pretty crazy when you consider shipping is probably half of the total cost.

And as far as I can tell the seller IS in China. But I am not really familiar with eBay, so I may have gotten that wrong.
