I  haven't even heard of a new release date, I  did contact umarex about bore size ,was informed it will require .510 dia slugs, got my mold ,now just need a hammer

I have .510 swage dies that shoot good in the gun for those that need slugs for it.

I hear ya Ronald, just canceled my order after a year or so, put the money toward a different use.

AAO will be making  all the 50 cal  bullet and pellet molds we currently make available in  .510     from  174 grain all the way up to 633 grain    Also HP molds

Accurate molds has a catalog full of molds. He will make what ever you want if you stay within his requirements. Also you can alter any of his mold drawing as long as you don't go under .180" on the nose.

I'm still waiting..  didn't put in any pre-order or anything...  Hopefully it'll be released before the end of summer...

I wonder if they are having issues with reliability? They have many proto types in the field. There injection molds for the stocks are ready. There barrels must
be ready, & the rest. With them to continue setting the release date back, then there must be a problem with reliability at this point.

I bet it is a patent infringement issue and it wont be out if it will be out, until it's settled or lost and no hammer.
Not many type valves out there that fit in the space they have in the frame, and lots of patents already out there.
It's just my guess on the matter, Umarex has too much experience on manufacturing to have quality issues this late in the production.

I have lots of Hammers. None are Umarex because mine are commonly "AVAILABLE" to non YouTube personalities!!! 


I can say that the projected dealer cost of the Umarex keeps rising and therefore the MAP price rises as well (currently at $800)!

From what I understand, the one model available to someone other than American Airgunner went to a Mr. Sas Quatch. I found him asleep in the woods with the Hammer propped up against a tree next to him. As I made my approach quietly trying to command the elusive Hammer, a beam of light came shining down, lifting Sas and the Hammer up into a sky vessel. Upon returning a minute later (Sas swears it was months) he was quite upset due to the fact that not only was he thoroughly probed, but the sky creatures kept his Hammer. I was able to keep him calm with some beef jerky and assured him, “Mr. Quatch, one day that Hammer will return.” He answered, “I’ll believe it when I see it. Hey, this jerky’s pretty good!”

Good point you made (and the above mentioned Yeti comment was classic!). Better for who? Not the general air gun buying public. If AEA gets their products to the same public soon I’ve got a feeling you’ll see little to no interest in the Hammer and a lot of skeptical people losing interest in future announced “project big bore guns” by Umarex. It doesn’t bode well when people tend to refer to any non released, sounds too good to be true air rifle as “the next Hammer”.
