Last August my wife and I visited her older brother a few towns over, in Northern Vermont.
He showed me something that someone had found at the dump, and given to him. (He is a backwoodsman, logger, trapper, etc)
I could not believe it. We took it out, pumped it up and it fired.
I saw him later on, and asked if he still had it. Yep. Told him I'd like to buy it, but he'd have none of that. He gave it to me.
We went there today,and he dug it out for me.

I've seen a few like this, people had put them together to kill snakes when out fishing.
I guess they didn't know about the crosman 13xx, or just already had an 880 around.

HaHa pretty weak, I think it's probably got the original valve in it. Think maybe some old trapper/woodsrunner lugged this around?
Can't figure it . That's a 6x Bushnell rifle scope on there,probably older than me. If you look close, the front bell of the scope is held together with wood screws

You can't see them through the eye piece, but if you look the other way, they show up, about 1/4" long.
It's in a Weaver scope mount, that is drilled and tapped (2 holes) into the dovetail of the Daisy.
I think the holes can be covered with regular 3/8 rings.
Whats left of the stock was one that has one bolt through the left half of the receiver. It is metal and metal, with the lever catch built into the lever itself.
It's no good other than for the metal receiver/metal lever, maybe internal parts, so I grabbed it.

They had to have held this up to their eye, but then, it's a 6 power scope. About the thinnest,finest , cross hairs I've ever seen.

Well, I can tell you it was made in 1980.

I think it's kinda cool. Probably has a pretty good bark at 10 pumps...

Shawn,it's official, the Road Warrior is back shooting again!!

I sat down at the table with rags and tools and "dismembered" it?.."disembodied" it?...ripped it's guts out!

Any way, found that it was some dirty, grimy inside. Whoever shortened the barrel cut it nice and square, but then didn't crown it. They did a nice job on the barrel shroud, 2 piece soldered together.
The felt wiper was long gone, and a thin foam one they replaced it with was now disintegrating. I made another felt one.
Cleaned it all up as best I could. Put it all back together, and added Secret Sauce, then kept pumping,cocking and firing.

Started getting louder. So then started firing Crosman points into my trap. 5 pumps each time, started shooting harder and higher.
No sights at this point, but pointed at the same area each time and watched the pellets climb. this with original valve!
Have to put that 6x scope back on

and see what I can do lol
