How do you guys improve the leade to rifling transition in guns. I have 2 guns that I think can use some help here. Curious on the different ways to help that.

watching this with interest.
Can you describe the symptoms that make you think there is need for improvement there.

Sandpaper, rolled up real tight, with a tight enough fit to the lands that you have to twist it to get it to go in (it will cut a nice gradual taper).
Twist it in the direction it was rolled until there is little resistance then reverse direction. You will need fresh paper (clip the end of the roll) often.
I start with 320 or 400 grit and finish with 600. The nice thing is that when you're finished... it's finished and polished.

Have done more than a couple dozen that way and wouldn't do it differently unless I had to mass produce - it is time consuming. But you can easily check your progress along the way and stop when the pellet loads smooth-like-butter

Thanks Jason and Wyo! So pretty simple just time consuming. Both are .22 actually. One is a CZ 200S. Its got a surprisingly rough transition which I think I can easily make smoother. The other is an SPA M10. I'm shooting slugs from it and what I thought the issue was the TP until I really inspected when it was getting hard was at the transition. Smoothing it out should help as well. Might retouch the crown on the SPA as well and fire lap it.

For slugs a 1* leade is most recommended...
This below is the best way imo... Bob of course...
https://www.gatewaytoairguns.org/GTA/index.php?topic=132316.0
On my .25 Mrod did it by hand with tapered Chefs steel... tapered dowel and wet dry for my .22 Crosman barrels...
Brass or tool steel tapered lapping rod and valve lapping compound has also been used... I think of the cowboy methods that would be best... especially with taller rifling and hammer forged barrels...
