Discovery question, ...

Been asked before I'm sure, - but, can you "leave/store" this thing say "half-charged" instead of emptying it after every time it's used???  - How much air can you leave in this thing, and for "how long" - a week, a month etc.

It is recommended that you leave some air in All PCP guns to help keep the valve  closed so no dirt / dust gets into the gun. You can leave it with 100 psi or 2000 psi it does not matter.

Ok, - back from the first "test drive" with the .22 cal Discovery. - Loading the pellets took awhile to get used to, pretty small area, and I don't have particularly large hands. A tad more room would be nice, but it's livable now. Pumping that thing up once you "get near" the 1500-2000 lbs. is more than I expected - but not the "end of the world" either. - On the "plus side" that thing is insanely accurate. On a scale of 1 to 10, - about an eight. ... It's definitely a keeper, but for the money, I kinda wish I had ordered the one with the ten shot clip instead.

  Had you fired a pcp before N.P?  Sure was a surprise for me, i saw my pellet in the air, through the scope for the first time. I had gotten so use to spring guns that this was a completely different experience. I don't know if i can enjoy a spring gun again.

  Whats you thoughts on the disco? Seem well built and sturdy or is the need for a 2nd barrel band apparent? Weight must be awesome, balances probably great. I'm sure considering one, just because i want one of the C1 style stocks for it made by Quality gunstock co., they make it for just a few guns, the disco being the most interesting to me.

  You might want to consider a scuba tank, talk about effortless fill..   on the other hand, i'm in the market for a manual pump, so as to not be dependent on the scuba shop. Does that pump(benji i assume?) seem well built?

  Print your thoughts on accuracy to if you get a chance.  I know the mrod is going to be the most accurate airgun i've ever shot. Look forward to proving that. Later,  J

The construction and weight are excellent, - w/good balance. I haven't noticed any need for a second band, but, I've only put about 40-45 pellets through it, not much of a test. If you like pumping, - you'll love the Disco, ... My guess is I'll use it about 2-3 times a month at most. The scope is good, mil-dot with an AO, - took seven shots to "zero it".

I "might" consider that small extra tank that I've seen on Pyramid Air - but I'm not really interested in lugging around tanks, and getting them refilled etc. - I'm more interested in spending time at the range than driving around getting refills. Not many refill stations here, - at least not all that close. - The pump seems quite adequate for the job, - the trick is NOT to rush things, - slow & steady is a LOT easier.

I have no idea how to post pics - and not really interested in trying it. I barely tolerate my computer - not something I try and make love to. After I was "sighted in" I put about 6-7 in just about the same hole, it just ended up being an elongated hole. Two other paper targets, 5 bull-eyes per paper, were all hit inside the 9 ring. -

i really love my new disco, have a leapers 3-9 on it. going to look into a TKO brake though, this thing is quite loud. after a fe hundred shots im getting about 35-40 shots per fill. and by all means, i love having a scuba tank.   it has made owning this so easy, and its not because im lazy and dont want to pump, its because its 6 dollars to fill the tank and i still havnt ran it down to below 2000 yet

might consider Tko trigger group for Discovery- makes night and day difference; also power adjuster to fine tune it- two very simple drop in's

Does the trigger make any difference in reduction of pull weight? I like the rifle as is, except for the trigger.

EDIT: I hold a pellet between my thumb and index finger to load, and the other 3 fingers go on top of the scope, to keep them out of the way.  Practice makes perfect, YMMV.

The trigger group reduces pull weight-he sends it to you all put together and you send him your group back(exchange)- basically the 3 screw mod with metal trigger and adjustable trigger shoe. Fully adjustable, love mine compared to the sloppy plastic factory version
