Yes the hammer does play a part. But with bigbore a lot more air is used. You raise the pressure and add some preload.
I should have hammer springs here soon. I went thru a lot of samples to find one that should work good. Same length as stock spring. So no excessive pressure on the valve after the shot.
No problem. Like I said I have a proper spring for the 457. Not a over length one.

Not a over length one.yes and i will be ready for one when there available.also, when i was shooting my texan to bring down the pressure before removing the fill adapter, i was at around 1400psi and shot it one last time......and itemptied the hole tank on that shot ....dumped it all !!! is that normal ??

There is one that is even longer then this one.
