It's an FN303. Non-lethal paintball gun made at the plant in SC. Shoots a bunch of different finned paintballs at around 650fps.

They chrony them using a ball filled with iron filings. I can't remember how much they weigh. I do remember you don't want to get hit with one. A regular ole paintball will break the skin at close range. It says specifically not to shoot at the head in the instructions. I wanted one so bad when I worked there.

I used and trained many Correctional officers with the FN and Pepperbal weapons,
both were 69 cal, and had many options from water to OC filled balls.
Muzzle vel was 360 +/- fps and used 13/3000 psi tanks,
I am here to tell you, you don't want to experience a frozen water ball at 25',
you will have lots of black/blue marks and bruises for a couple of weeks...........
Shins/knee caps were the favorite target spots, ends of the toes plus several other spots,
had to pass a 3 day class, 80% or better and then receive 10 shots @ 75', every 6 months,
to use or carry it, had them in the housing units, rec yards/lock down areas, chow hall, etc.
It soon gained a lot of respect, when the call was "Get on the ground/Stop fighting",
and you didn't follow given verbal commands etc.

Often in border patrol videos on youtube, they mention using paintball guns, I thought it was a joke. I see now that it wasn't.

We were issued some of these fn paintball guns in afg. Never used them, kind of a waste of time for an 11B. If anybody ever needed shooting, they got a bullet.

I make 2 predictions;
ON THE DATE WHEN US TROOPS ARE ISSUED AN Energy Pulse Weapon,
1. The US Soldier will have on his person a version of the Colt 1911.
2. He will be aiming the NEW Weapon at someone carrying an AK47.
