had some time to play with wood, got a 25 year old cherry slab and proceeded
a bit bulky i will do some more shaving soon to improve the butt end but it fits nice (some bondo in the tube slot)
hardest part other than using cherry, was the trigger slot, i didn't get it perfect and had to open it up more to sit straight up leaving a gap around the trigger assembly
still has a good hold and retains accuracy, i did make it a bit longer for myself and my lanky arms

That is great!
I find I learn a little bit more with every project.
May I ask what tools you used?

started out with table and jig saws, then i hand planed the top, set my "off" center line, oops, router out tube inlet, hand drill the trigger groove, a bit of dremel work to set in right and make some other notches, screw hole for stock was a bit funny but fixable, then wood files and rasps and sander,
the forearm feels good and will only need some finish sanding, the grip though fitting needs some rounding out, and the butt needs some narrowing and shape work and i need a butt pad, the reason i hadn't gone too deep on the butt was to ensure i can shape it to the pad i get when i get one
the inlet is a bit more than a 1/16th off on one side i may try to plane that down

Looks great for a first effort. Id not want to show anyone my first efforts at various stocks.
The next one will be better, you've learned from this one. Each one will get better, so keep at it!!
