Been awhile since playing with the .20 Mrod. Had a leak and got it fixed. Was actually setting up to sell but once shooting it again I just couldn't. Having only this gun and my M10 in hand while waiting for my EVOL Tac I'll be getting this one finished. The gun just absolutely loves the new heavy pellets. Shot a .31" CTC group at 50yds with it.

Will be getting .177 magazines either modified or after doing some measurements I might be able to make a stock .22 mag work. I have everything on hand to now do it so hopefully by this afternoon can maybe have a mag fed .20 Mrod.

Dillon, don't make the same mistake twice and sell it! 

I was just about to buy a donor Prod cheap and convert to .20.  Roy quoted about $300 for barrel, machining and turning the .22 probe down.  I was about to jump but something else came up.  I too was thinking of getting a new cam made to convert the .22 mag to .20 or sleeving somehow.  Really curious to see what you decide to do.

Yeah Andrew I would have regretted it deeply not making that mistake twice! The accuracy of this gun is incredible. I would honestly out it up against a .22 MMHF/WARHF barrel. Just outstanding. This gun has some hammer bounce as it's bone stock so I think I'd like to figure that out next. I have a few mds hammers but for some reason they won't let the sear engage so no luck there. Maybe there a hair too long? I'll check it out.

As far as magazines go it wasn't successful. The .22 stock I can get to feed but hangs up at the edge of the barrel shaving off a tiny bit of the pellets. The .177 I tried opening up with a 7/32 drill bit but just didn't end up working either. For the time being I will just shoot it single shot as it's crazy accurate that way anyways

Dang.  I was sure you would find success with the mags.  I think the "gear tooth" spacing or "timing" if you will,  needs to be adjusted so that the pellet is in alignment with the leade.  Maybe some smart person here will do the conversion and print you a version?  Lots of engineering there but I know there's lots of talented people here that love the mathematical challenges and 3D printing.  Good luck!

P.S. I don't use the mags on my Rapid either.  I got this really nice sliding feed single shot unit.  Its not a drop in tray it is a door that you put the pellet into and then slide it over.  Works awesome!

  I am about to embark on a .20 Mrod build.  After building a .30 Mrod, I have enough leftover parts to make it reasonable price wise.  Already have a price from Roy, just need to send him the payment.
I also got a stash of .20 Polymags for cheap.  Have you tried the .20 polys in your LW barrel?

Yeah honestly Andrew I use mags about 2% of the time lol. I rarely ever use mags in my guns and do actually prefer single shot. But it was the thought of having a working mag that would have been cool.

Mike I haven't tried the polymags as I really wanted the .20 for the 15.9gr heavies. I couldn't be happier with how they shoot from it. I bet your gonna love it!

Ya, I really love the .25 and .30 Marauders I have.  I have three pellets to test in the .20 cal, Benjamin P50 cylindrical, Polymags, and some H and N Barracuda domed.
Regarding the magazine, I have machined the clear plastic to accommodate the Polymags, and am experimenting with the wheel...hopefully I can come up with something that will work.

I wanna say rsterne came up with a solution for your mag dilemma a while back.  I'll have to see if I can find it.

Thanks Keith!  I know he had a thread in the Bob and Lloyd's workshop gate, but I don t believe there was a solution. It was fairly recent and was for a .22, but same principle.
