I also like shooting metal spinners to get a rough idea of how much power my airguns deliver down range.
My .25 cal Hatsan dominators, which are the lowest powered .25 cals I have, will make the spinners spin at least 4 times around.
In comparison, my .22 cal HW 97kt will spin it about 3 times.
My .25 cal Beeman Kodiak, uh, I wasn't able to count but its at least 5 spins. It was ridiculous.
All of this is at 25m roughly.

I’ve read your posts and have seen your targets for quite a while now. From what i’ve Seen.... when you grab one of your springers and start shooting... those stars just start lining up all on their own!

You’ve just about inspired me to try a springer for hunting... mine are all pumpers for now. Time to give something else a try!

The spinner in the picture is one that is made for a 22 Mag PB.  It is fairly robust, about 1/4 inch thick, and is hard for an airgun to spin. 
Another one that I have is a Birchwood Casey 44 Mag Double.  That one is super robust, about 1/2 inch thick and none of the airguns can spin it. If an airgun can deflect it at all, it is striking it very hard.  Usually... all I hear is a little " tinkle " when a lower powered air gun strikes it with a pellet. 

I do have one set of resettable spinners the are made for an airgun.  My grandson is using it for his airsoft pistol to shoot at right now.
 I am afraid that the more powerful rifles that I have would destroy it.   All I have ever shot it with is my 1377 pistol and that one will dent it some.  It is pretty thin and made with a soft steel.  The other spinner targets are thicker and harder  The 44 Mag spinner is made from ballistic armor plate.

I also have a berm that I can shoot into.   It is constructed from downed tree material that is cut into logs. The logs are covered with sand and the sand is covered with mulch made from chipped tree limbs.  That is covered with brush and branches that is topped by leaf and grass clippings. Again more brush and branches are piled on top of all of this. In front of this berm I have another berm of leaf and grass clippings. The whole thing is about 4 feet high X 30 Feet long and 8 Feet thick.  I have never had a ricochet from that berm nor have I had any from the spinners.

I also have a few other smaller berms set up at different distances going out into the woods behind my house. They are staged at different distances going out to around 100 yards. Usually they can't be see because the woods are so thick with understory growth and such.

In the picture with the target in it there is one of the smaller berms directly behind it but it is very hard to make out with everything else out their.

I don't just hunt with springers....I hunt with pumpers too.   The .20 Cal. Vintage Sheridan Multi-Pump rifle that I have, is great for hunting.
So is my .117. Cal. Crosman  2100 Rifle.   If I had a .117 Cal. Daisy 880, I'd hunt with that too.

A lot of Folks have trouble shooting springers accurately.  Unfortunately springers are just not for everyone, I guess.
I shoot springers OK.......and some days are better than others.
There other others here in the Forum that are much better shots than I am.
I have made my best shots while I was hunting.

Have you seen some of the shots that the Egyptian sniper made in the Hunting Gate ?
He can shoot 100 yards plus....... on Doves !
Now THAT is some Great Shooting with a springer.

Yeah, my spinners are those Crosman spinners you can find in the big-box stores. Not nearly as heavy as the ones you are using.
I find spinners to be useful as much as they are fun to shoot.

A bit late, but welcome to the owners of TH125s. Winter here in Australia is slowly becoming Spring. Time to start looking for Rabbits, Foxes and pest birds in the orchards.
And break out "Big Bertha". They certainly have some power. Mine is in .22. It spits out 15.42 Gamo Expander pellets at an average of 881 fps . that's enough to smash both shoulders and exit the other side of a full grown Rabbit at 30 yards. ( got a good Chrono for Christmas from my sons). Good hunting and it looks like you are set for a heap of fun.

I have a couple set out in the backyard.  One at 25 yards and the other at 31 yards.  That is the parameters that I typically hunt in, out in the Woods.  That is the "Honey Zone" for me.

I have been hunting this year with the Benjamin 27.8 Gr. domed pellets.

So far, they have been working well at ranges out to 35 yards.

I haven't tried the others out in this rifle yet.
