FX Dreamline Classic owners...

Hi,
I'm going to buy a FX Dreamline Classic in .22 , and before, I've a couple of questions to the owners of this gun.

I've a FX Wildcat , and I would like to know how it compares with the Dreamline : accuracy , consistency….


On the other hand , I think that on the Dreamline Classic , due to the stock , the regulator and the hammer tension spring can be
adjusted only by removing the stock from the action ( which is not the case with the Dreamline Lite ).

I wonder if it would be possible to drill  holes in the stock of the Classic , with enough care , to give an external access to the reg and hammer spring adjustment , without removing the stock.

I have the FX Dreamline Classic, but have only had it for about a week.  I have the .25 with the Black Pepper Laminate Stock, so I sure won't be drilling any holes in it!  LOL!  As to how it compares to the Wildcat, I don't know because i don't own a Wildcat, but I will say that it's pretty darn accurate!  You do have to remove the stock to adjust the hammer spring and the regulator.  I have not adjusted anything on mine because it's shooting so well right out of the box.  I'm not sure I was much help.

Sure it helps , because I would'nt hesitate to order one  And yes , mine will be also grey laminated...but after much réflexions and measurements I won't hesitate to drill some holes very carefully if this allows some adjustments without removing the stock.

You're a much braver man than I, and probably way more skilled as well!  I most definitely would like to see how you set it up so you have access to the adjustments.  A tutorial on how to do those adjustments would be awesome also, since the manual doesn't tell much of anything when it comes to tuning it!  Thanks...

I was fortunate enough to get a .22 cal. Dreamline Classic Walnut from Jeff at Treniers. Did some accuracy testing this past weekend and it appears to like the JSB 18.1 Heavies the best. 50 yd. groups were a half inch or better consistently.

The regulator adjustment is accessible without removing the stock. The adjusting screw is on the air tube on the LH side. The hammer spring adjustment does need removing the stock on the Classic but I noticed on mine the hammer spring was already adjusted to maximum power from the factory. They seemed to have tuned it for the JSB 18.1 running at 863 fps out of the box. Reg was set at 130- 135 bar. Increasing reg pressure reduced FPS so it appears they balanced everything pretty well at the factory. Unless you're reducing power to shoot lighter pellets, it's ready to shoot when you get it.

Thank you , things are becoming clear now . I didn't know the reg adjustment was accessible without stock removing. Krale gunshop said the contrary.

I think that the dreamline design is very appealing for the the price.

on my dreamlite, the reg hole is at the bottom, right in front of the rail.

Mine's not visible at all and I have not removed the stock yet to see where it is.  Just curious if the air cylinder can be rotated so that access to adjustment can be made accessible if it is currently under the stock?

It didn't look to me like the tube can be rotated without leaving some sort of gap where it meets the receiver.
