After some time of poke and hope my Crosman 2100 with that sweet wood furniture drew the short straw and forfeited it's CenterPoint Adventure Class 4-16x40AOIR.
This will have to do.... for now.

The target in the left is the first 3 shots to dial it in a bit.
I let the next 7 fly into the one on the right. If you look through the ripped out paper that was damp from hanging out there through the storms last night, you'll see the blue backer.
Yeah, the one with one 1/4 inch hole in it.
7 shots off of my bipod legs into a quarter inch hole at 22yds.
Chicken dinner, we got a winner !

It's all good, I got a few other things to do while the camera charges.
Besides... I'm almost ready for the next phase.... chrono stuff. The probe won't be here until tomorrow and I don't want to do all that hand pumping.

I'm going to degas and work the degassing screw, burst disc and air tube end cap a few times. See if any of those are causing that slow leak.

I'm really liking this detailed post, filled with great insights and humor.
It would be great if my freedom only suffers from a slow leak, but for $108 I'll just have to take what I get.
Quick hijacking, years ago I ordered airsoft guns from a store called kappowee, they sold returns that likely came from Big5 stores. Most worked fine, others were basically garbage and unusable.
From what I have seen on this forum the same may be true of these freedoms, I'm not expecting any accessories. But I do hope the rifle works with minimal trouble shooting.

You know, I don't think any will be complete "garbage". Lots of valuable parts there even if they don't work. One could sell those to those who might need them for spares or to repair theirs. Pretty sure they would get their money back.. and some.
On the other hand... if you do get one that is beyond your skill set to repair, there are many here that have the skills and are willing to help. The best thing is for us to all share our experiences and findings with them.

Luckily we are dealing with airguns and not airsoft guns. Most of the airsoft I owned were more toy-like than anything else.
I don't really believe the freedom airguns will be garbage, I would agree that there should be plenty of usable parts.
I consider airsoft a dark part of my past, really regret not getting into air rifles sooner.

How is the gun for loudness? I don't think I saw that mentioned yet. Does it have a built in silencer in the shroud? I'd love to get some of these guns to sell in Canada, looks like a lot of fun  . We'd need a non silenced version though, unfortunately.

Crud!  Took the shroud off to investigate why my poi was so far left, found out the shroud adapter was loose as well as the shroud, took off scope and tried another one and I have a shooter.  Was just testing at 10 yards hole in hole, and printed up some targets to go out to 27 yards.  Was just getting ready to go and the pump stuck on the first stroke.  Don't want to force it and bend anything.  Looks like I will degas and have to tear into it

Did you put some silicone oil in the pump breather hole before you started to pump it the first time. I used some RWS chamber silicone oil in mine and man what a difference. SO much easier to pump. Yes Wes.... I swear it's quieter than my Synrod was. Definitely quieter than my Urban. Then again, I don't know how fast I'm shooting yet. It may be a bit louder if I have to crank it up. We'll know that tomorrow.
I know it don't waste any time at all covering 22yds. You hear the hammer drop and the pellet hit target almost at the same time. If I get north of 15 fpe out of it I'm good.
 And remember.. I'm shooting on the low power setting. There won't be anyone behind me yelling.. "Choot Em!" so I'm not looking for a cannon.

Ok, let me just run this down.....

I'm going to blow this thing up to a bit over 3k, Shoot over the chrono down to the yellow and look at the bell curve. Then I'll make power adjustments to flatten that out as best I can. Then I'll take the 10 shots from the crest of the curve. Those will be my 10 shots between mags and pumping.
This gun was NOT purchased to be a plinker. This gun was NOT purchased to wear a scope. It's scoped now for testing and dialing in. The legs were added because I could and the 1" picatinny rails can be used for a flash light or whatever.
The gun will have open sights or a holographic red dot.
This gun was purchased for utility purposes.... period.
I already know it takes 15 - 17 strokes to replace the pressure for 10 shots.
Once I establish my 10 shot sweet spot after fine tuning, that will be my operational range... Shoot 10, pump 17 and swap mags. Reload mags and repeat.
Range will be 25 - 40 yds.
Here's the bonus.... Remember that little knob on the side? Yep, turn it up if you need a shot of NOS for that 'special' shot.
That's my goal... that's what will dictate FPS and FPE.
No drilling trans ports, no MDS hammers. No whistles, buzzers or bells.
Just garunteed not to bust, rust, collect dust, chip, rip or tear.... bend whistle or break.

That's great you guys are reporting how quiet it is, great for you all anyway  .
But that rules out me getting one up here to check out, unless I convince them to take the shroud off before shipping.
I kind of doubt they'd want to do that on a money loser deal they are selling these at.

Bill I never did a shot string with my Liberty on low power, but on Hi power it's over 60 on the reg at 28fpe and very consistent.  The Freedom will be fun finding a good setting for a shot string on Hi power, I might see what it does on lo once after adjusting for Hi.  I better not be counting my chickens before the eggs have hatched because that's exactly what I'm doing right now as I type this.
