As I've mentioned I have several .357 and .457 big bores (and a whole swarm of smaller bores) and they are always hungry for air.
Just can't keep them fed.
{Yes, I see we have a child gate for 'Support Equipment' but does anyone ever look there? Here at the 'Big Bore' the readers have high consumption rifles that USE air and it is directly useful info}

And I have the new Slayer coming so I'm going to need even more! (it's been over 90 days since I placed the order.... hoping to hear it's shipping any time... I keep hoping and waiting, slobber, pant, drool, pant...)
I had bought one of those DAVV SCU50 compressors and just broke even on fills vs the cost at the local paintball field when it threw off a whole cylinder so that was $500 down the drain (same compressor as the Air Ventura, not the Nomad one)

So when Dyotat100 told me he was selling REAL compressors through NSA/Nick I jumped on it.

I was thinking the same thing when Dana said in the video it would probably last you a lifetime. I'd love to own one but the F10 is enough for my .22's and .25's right now. Carl you'll probably never have to buy another compressor after buying that one.

those are VERY NICE Compressors !
I was at Nicks shop when the compressor was delivered. I helped Doug uncrate it and we ran it for the first time.

That is one of the most well built looking compressors I have ever seen, and I fully concur with Dana that this puppy looks like it will last a lifetime with normal regular minimal maintenance (oil / filters).

It is relatively very quiet, has a 100% duty cycle, is air cooled, (no external water tank/bucket/pump required), and is fully capable of filling any tank,(large or small), or , as MANY TANKS as you could ever want to fill.

I WILL CERTAINLY Own one of these someday.

I have a older model w31, bought it used with low hours, it works great, my only concern is that the crankshaft is only supported on one side (the new models are supported on both sides, )however it looks to be well built and should last many years, I fould a vender online to buy filters and oil alot cheaper than the alkin site like 1/3 price. I already had a older nuvair coltri that neaded a rebuild after year of service ,after ordering the rebuild kit and before it arrived I saw the w31 on another site for sale near me and couldn't pass on it , it looks brand new, still havent repaired the coltri but when I do will have one for sale

Nice looking compressor for sure. The Slayer does gobble up a lot of air (typically 130-150 psi per shot). A good air source is key to keeping it going.

I like when my 88 cf tank drops down to around 3600 psi. I tether with the tank valve open from that point. The number of shots that way seems endless.

The Mariner has LANDED!

Delivered this evening and I've pulled the shipping cover off but it's still on the mini-pallet. I ordered it with the CGA 347 fitting so it can fill my SCBA bottles
Not taking pictures of unit as it's too dark, after I get it wired up in a few days I will take the installed pic.

UPDATE:
I've been very busy and not had much time for hobbys so I finally found time to do a timed fill with my new compressor.

I decided to start at 500 PSI in a 66 cu/ft (45 minute) SCBA tank to get a baseline so bleed one down to that.

Here's the numbers -
500 PSI @ 0 TIME
2000 PSI @ 10 minutes pumping (about the lowest I ever usually draw a bottle down to)
3000 PSI @ 14 minutes

I stopped here to let the CF bottle cool as it was getting fairly hot which is detrimental to this type construction of bottle, it was approx 140F. If I was filling other bottles I would have just swapped and filled them too while it cooled off... the compressor was not too hot at all and since it is 100% duty cycle could keep pumping for hours!

One hour later I resumed filling.

3000 PSI resume clock @ 14 min
4500 PSI @ 22.5 minutes (which would be 8.5 minutes to pump the additional 1500 PSI)

That would be 12/13 minutes to top off most bottles and probably would not need a cooling period like I did, that was only because I started from an 'empty' bottle and a lot of heat built up in the first +-2500 PSI.

This compressor will fill a 480/500cc bottle like on many rifles just a couple minutes, from 1800 to 3000 or even to 4500. It takes less than a minute to fill a Marauder tube reservoir from 2000 to 3000. Actually, the only time I would even bother filling a gun is while I was toping off everything else, otherwise it's just too quick,haha. You have to stand RIGHT THERE and turn it on then off so quickly.

Awesome! Sounds like you have a winner there.

For some comparisons, that compressor is as fast if not a little faster than my AV, which takes ~ 20 to 25 minutes from 3000 to 4500 on my 88 cu/ft tank depending on how much or how fast I do the manual bleed during the fill. My tank doesn't really heat up very much though, which I really like. I do wish mine had an auto bleed, but is not a huge deal.

I ran the AV for 2.3 hours the other day filling the tank from zero and near zero a couple times, and from some points in-between, plus after replacing a blown burst disc during one fill session that caused a loss of air. All while working on getting a gun valve to seal. It seemed to handle those long runs just find. Temps never went over 73c, and that was at the start of the empty tank fill. It cooled down more once it got up over 2000 psi. It typically runs around 67c max for most runs. Auto shutdown takes place at 95c to prevent damage.

Takes 10 min to go from 3000 to 4700 psi on 88 CF tank. I filled 5 of mine the other day with sa.e compressor.

I think this would be an ideal compressor for a group of guys to go in on or an Airgun club.
Evidently it has been used for years by scuba shops so they are very reliable.

I'm going to mention that this compressor IS a portable and me and some other guys are going on a air rifle hunting trip in a few weeks. We have the compressor and our portable generator has a 220VAC output too so when I chose which plug to put on the compressor, I picked the compatible 'dryer' / welding machine male.
Yes, it weighs around 150 pounds but has built in hand bars for lifting and moving it. Two guys can easily shift it in and out of the truck bed. H, the generator weighs more! I went ahead and put locking castering wheels under it so we can roll it aroung, too.

Again, I love to keep saying it, this is a great compressor, much better than the smaller ones I've owned and .... I AM PUMPED UP!

Thanks again to Doug Noble for letting me be the first in line to buy one through NSA. Totally a good investment for me as a frequent big bore shooter. If I figure what I would have spent on buying individual fills from the local SCUBA shop or the paintball field, this thing will 'pay' for itself in just a few years
