AIR TANK BLEED VALVE IS LEAKING

 went to fill one my a/guns today, & the bleed valve would not seal , it is on a JB valve, is there an O Ring in there? how do I repair it  ?TIA

If you back the vale stem all the way out then take a clean dry q-tip and swish it around inside the seat there is probably a small piece of debris sitting in there on the seat not allowing the bleeder to seat completely.

Do what Don said then place a piece of cardboard (to protect the knob) around the knob and, using pliers, tighten it quite a bit more then normal and leave it closed for an hour or so.
You are forming the seal.
I had same problem awhile agoand Joe told me the correct forming procedure...

Had to do the same thing with the bleeder on my MKII compressor.

 Just a tip for bleed valves in general,. I have one on a SCUBA tank that is very small diameter, and was hard to grip and turn either way, I found some tubing that I had to stretch a bit to fit over it , but it made life much easier after.
